Has Cleverly had every job in the cabinet🙄 Another useless bastard that never ever answers a direct question and also backed bumbling Boris until it was obvious he’d gone🤡

I think it's becoming apparent that Sunak has decided that the only chance (if any) that he's got in a GE, is to drop the right of the party.

I’d say I’m politically homeless right now but just as an observer I’m often baffled by appointments to top jobs.
The likes of Braverman, Cleverly, and Shapps and many others have proven themselves to be categorically out of their depth and unfit for the roles they have held and surely this has a knock on effect in terms of Tory popularity.

Has any PM ever won 50% plus 1 of the entire electorate? No Which is why the sudden wish for fifty plus one is irrelevant Though I do believe that leave received the highest ever number of votes ( I may be wrong) It may have done. Shortly followed by the remain vote I would guess. Our electoral system is an absolute shambles. It is archaic. The referendum on such a big and important issue should have had agreed next steps on event of leave winning. All in the past now. Anyway, let’s go back to the future with the man who decided the ridiculous rules of that referendum being back in office, despite not being an elected MP!

Absolutely desperate with a party devoid of talented in elected officials. That’s the only reason to call on Cameron.
True story: my wife once made Cameron pick up dog shit. He did it without his butler (or security staff).

The unelected PM appointing unelected ministers. I think he may have shot himself in the foot with some of the criticism he may get for this decision. Just highlights the disarray at present.
Just call an election and get it over with. I'm not sure what they're expecting to happen in the next 12 months to suddenly change the public perception.

Quite right.. I'd go further and say that the rules of the referendum should have been such that an absolute majority of the entire electorate should have been required in order to force the whole Country into undertaking such a radically dissolute action, at all. I see alot of people on here arguing for and against Brexit on economic grounds but the cultural isolation and lack of free movement we now have as individuals within our nation is in my opinion culturally and individually stifling. Something which is hard to quantify in financial terms but definitely noticeable in cultural effects and it grates on the soul, as far as I'm concerned. I look forward to your similar post when that unprincipled charlatan starmer wins the next election and proves to be more Tory than the current wet wipe He’ll win but he won’t receive 50% plus one of the entire electorate Or does 50% plus one of the entire electorate only count when you don’t like the result Who said I like Starmer?

No Which is why the sudden wish for fifty plus one is irrelevant Though I do believe that leave received the highest ever number of votes ( I may be wrong) However if you wish to equate the Brexit vote to a GE (which it isn't) then presumably we should re-run the referendum every 5 years? But as they're not comparable then an absolute majority on referenda is not an unreasonable pre- condition.

She believed in big government more than anyone. Look at how much she wanted to control the police. That’s not right wing.
