I was getting more at the point some climate alarmists reckon a billion people will be on the move with climate change and most of them are heading into Europe. Multicultural doesn't mean Multiracial so she can defend that position, and would probably like to. The closest being Native American Her followers won't be troubled by that fact and will interpret her Dog-whistle in precisely how she intended. It's an old trope and goes back to Powell and beyond. It's about identity and asking people what they see when they look at another person. Her speech also managed to seek out members of a particular religion she particularly dislikes. Her main purpose was ambition to give the allusion of gravitas "on the world stage" talking to a handful of like minded Bigots But her speech had a practical side too, the upcoming Supreme Court Hearing on Rwanda Policy beginning 9th October If you listen/read her speech she emphasises her incorrect interpretation of Article 31 (1) of UNHCR by placing too much reliance on the word directly which has been previously tested and found not to be what she's claiming it means. It also falls foul of what is legal and an illegal as well as a requirement to actually review an asylum application It shall be interesting to see the final ruling which is likely to be many months away. Obviously the Conservatives wish for the ruling to be before GE no matter what the outcome it will be a wedge issue |
