They were a disaster. Not having them at all would have been worse. Interesting you haven’t addressed what I said. Because what you're saying isn't worthy of a response. Lockdown faster? Is that seriously the best you can do? Contain 100000 cases rather than 1000000. Then you come out much faster. It is very basic.

They were a disaster. Not having them at all would have been worse. Interesting you haven’t addressed what I said. To be honest I don’t think what ever actions re lockdowns were taken the results would be great. I think if the lockdowns weren’t put in place there would have been many more deaths. However without doubt lockdowns have had a huge impact on mental health which I’ve witnessed first hand particularly amongst the young. Those figures I’m sure will be very different to ever measure. Ultimately it was an awful time. I don’t think it’ll ever be a case of right or wrong but we’ll be living with the effects of it for many years to come. Yes, it was an awful time. I am not sure no lockdowns would have resulted in fewer mental health problems. We would have had significantly more deaths of comparatively healthy people in their 50s and 60s because the NHS would have been totally overwhelmed and unable to offer treatment to even close to the amount that would have needed it without lockdowns reducing transmission. People who seek to think lockdowns weren’t necessary lack very basic logical reasoning and understanding, and also contradict the nhs staff dealing with the problem the late lockdowns caused.

She frequently came home to say “it’s been pretty quiet today really”. Not once did she come home and say “we’re overwhelmed with Covid”. Only relaying what she told me at the time

From the bbc article.. "I have lost track of how many people have written to me or approached me since leaving Downing Street to say that they believe my diagnosis of the problems causing our country's economic lethargy was correct and that they shared my enthusiasm for the solutions I was proposing," she said. I suspect all these people are figments of her imagination. How the fuck she has the gall to write such shit is beyond belief or it should be If she didn't take her shoes off, it would only need 11 people for her to lose count (or 1 person to send her 11 messages).

Dictator Drakeford literally banned toys. There is an infamous image from the morning after he implemented this absurd legislation whereby supermarket toys were bordered up. In terms of your other point I absolutely agree. Thanks to the obliteration of civil liberties over the past few years, we are now in a more authoritarian and perilous position than we've been in for many decades. Again that's incorrect. He didn't "literally ban toys" Of course he didn't Because Toy Shops unlike Supermarkets were not deemed essential and therefore closed it was regarded as unfair for Supermarkets to sell Toys If you have a mind to you can make any false information you like. Apparently it goes down well on some Facebook Groups

If hospitals were empty and staff dancing because they were bored during covid, why do you think the vast majority of doctors and nurses were in on the covid conspiracy you so firmly believe in? Amazing that the same nurses who were in on the conspiracy are striking now, but haven’t thought to hurt the government by telling the public the “truth” about how they had empty wards during covid and were bored.

Like most things, you don’t know anything for certain in life. But I value the views of the 8 people I know working across 6 different covid wards across the country during the pandemic and how they were all unanimous in the fact that an earlier lockdown would have reduced pressure on them and meant they wouldn’t have had to choose which patients to treat and which not to (leaving them to die), and they are unanimous in the view that lockdowns were essential to prevent far more deaths mainly due to a completely overwhelmed nhs. That doesn’t mean lockdown wasn’t awful

So 36 die as a result of RTA in 2021 whereas 20 die over the course of covid? Mr Superior, looks like you're wrong Do you have a general problem with reading or just when what you read isn't to your liking 181 Children died directly or Indirectly from Covid in the 21 months measured, 36 Children as a result of Road Accidents in 2021 of which 17 as pedestrians Both events are tragic and shouldn't be treated as "Statistics" but you insist Children were in no danger from Covid which is of course nonsense Displaying your usual Juvinile behaviour you couldn't resist adding a Sobriquet Which one is it ? Tested positive in the last 30 days ? Lockdown rules were so essential that the rule makers didn't bother to follow the rules they implemented.

because it's a shit profession now with so much pressure a few I know are working at Sainsbury's distribution at stoke on about same pay without the stress. Sainsbury’s are a private company, it’s up to them what they pay their staff and I’m sure they don’t simply sail through a days work either. I’ve absolutely no problem with nurses wanting improved pay whatsoever, they do a great job but it has to be relative to the rest of the country otherwise it leads to everyone else saying they need a rise comparable to nurses. At the end of the day it’s a chosen vocation, I’m sure they’re informed of their wage structure before being employed and accepting the job. I’m absolutely in favour of nurses in particular to get a fair pay rise but where does it stop? Every other profession will eventually tailgate onto it and right now this country needs some economic stability.

If true, then thousands of nhs staff must have been in on it, pretending covid was killing people and overwhelming the nhs, when really they were all dancing about doing nothing.
