Hang on, I know him… It’s Joris Bohnson I regularly wonder about what he's up to, I'd love to know............. There’s a job going at no 10 if he’s interested. Can’t be any worse than the current shitshow.

That's funny I made exactly the same point as you a few weeks ago, along the lines that you need to be careful what you wish for - changing things could make them worse. I was criticised for proposing no change, which I wasn't, I was merely pointing out things could get worse. As for coming from nowhere, thankfully Farage came from nowhere and got us out of the EU indirectly by forcing the issue in the Tory Party, which was against Brexit under Cameron. So the apple cart can be upset by an "outsider/new comer" not in the main parties. Farage struck a chord with enough of the population to upset the established parties. Was Farage not a founding member of UKIP since 1993 and then obviously later became leader of it. 25 years of campaigning for the " UK Independence party" is hardly coming from nowhere. As for "careful what you wish for", very wise words. And that's why the red wall is being built back up brick by brick. Anyhow hopefully more tory's follow them suit and move across to Reform UK. We've gone too long with the right wing vote being centralised on one corrupt party. So hopefully other supporters will start voting Reform UK and split the vote; resigning both to the back benches where they can't cause the same level of chaos. My apologies, I considered UKIP an irrelevant until they started to get MPs then I started to vote for them. Now Brexit is achieved they or Brexit party are again irrelevant.

I thought I read she didn’t get that as she’s under the term threshold (not sure how many days that is).

People are rightly calling for a General Election including Starmer. But, rightly or wrongly, the constitution does not specify the number of times a government can change its leader before it has to go to the people to decide democratically. Of course a new PM can call an election, as Maggie May did, in order to get a mandate from the country but Tories know they would be rinsed at the polls. Turkeys and Christmas springs to mind.

An image of Matt Hancock caught snogging Coffey on CCTV just flashed through my head. Now that would have been more newsworthy than snogging his Secretary.

The only name mentioned who seems a remotely competent individual would probably be Ben Wallace. At least he'd bring back some kind of professional behavior. This rabble are a fucking disgrace. Boris should be chucked in the Thames not rewarded with the job of PM. I think it would be good if we end up being dragged into the war by having to put troops on the ground because he'll start the preparation for that but I'm hopeful that doesn't happen. Inflation is not under control and some of the drivers of this have not been addressed, Sunak would be the best person to focus on this. Sunak did nothing to help mitigate inflation as Chancellor. He predicted Truss would be a disaster. The only way to tackle inflation for the longer term is to get energy prices under control, which means massive investment in green energy that we pwn and produce ourselves. Sunak won’t do that. He will calm markets, but not address the fundamental problems with our economy because to do so is considered “un-Tory”

When was the last time, if ever, that a government in power has been so universally disliked?
I think the problem with the Tories is that they seem to think it's an "individual" thing but it's very much became a party issue now for the general public. How many reshuffles and different cabinet members have we had this year for the same results time after time.
They're like a dog on it's last legs. Someone needs to take them to the vet, organise a GE, and put them down. While it's hilarious to watch unfold: they really need to be put out of the misery now.

If there isn’t an election I hope the electorate never forgive them for at a time of crisis, the tories chose self preservation and infighting over what is in the interests of the country as a whole. Times like this make me long for a Monarchy and for King Charles to rule!
