Police should take a stand and refuse to enforce it. They could argue (reasonably) that they are understaffed.

Much like the Owen Paterson scandal, they tried their hardest to keep him in place, to find a way to weasel out from the scrutiny of these dodgy practices...

Another move in the right direction. Amazing how many of these Brexit benefits suddenly don't seem quite so beneficial when it gets to it. Full marks for pushing on with the damage limitation though, keep it up.

Gary Lineker must be cancelled screams newspaper at forefront of war on cancel culture A 'news'paper, that, bizarrely, failed to mention BBC Chairman, Tory donor and Boris Johnson loanee quitting yesterday... Tory sleaze and corruption - not a story; having an opinion on it - front page news Sadly, the article cuts off just before we find out what Sunak's attack dog 30p Lee had to say about it, but it probably doesn't take much guessing. You've got to laugh at the state of them all!

On the one hand, if I were a business owner and he was trying to drag me through the mud, I’d consider swapping him out when his contract expires. On the other hand, Twitter is a cesspit. How is anything said on there, especially by a Sports Presenter, front page news? Just put it in the gossip column near the back page.

How is anything said on there, especially by a Sports Presenter, front page news? Just put it in the gossip column near the back page. I'm not sure Liberace is dragging his employer through the mud, at least, no more than it's managing to do all by itself with its links to the government and rather obvious political influence on news reporting. Most recently, he's expressed two opinions: one where he retweeted someone comparing the language used by government ministers on asylum seekers to that used by 1930s Germany - factually accurate. Two, wanting an independent BBC free from government interference - I think we'd all agree with that. Other than being employed as a sports presenter who should, in some people's eyes, therefore not have opinions on such matters, I don't see it as besmirching the good name of the BBC at all. They haven't handled it well but that's probably because they've been put under pressure by the very people Lungfish is now saying should leave the BBC alone, which, if nothing else, confirms the veracity of this second opinion too!

You've got to laugh at the state of them all! It's an absolute disgrace. How come they're not covering the story the entire country is most concerned about - which has got nowhere near enough coverage? The fiendish and brilliantly conceived plot involving the royal family, MI5, the army, the TUC, Jeremy Corbyn, Elvis and Dougal from the Magic Roundabout - to assassinate Princess Whatnot in the Alma Tunnel in Paris in 1997. An outrage.

Again it's astonishing how getting that first draft out is more important than taking any time to consider what they're saying. Twice in a couple of weeks isn't a good look. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-65438581Martin Rowson, the artist who drew it, has also apologised, saying he was in a rush to create the artwork by a deadline and did not mean to offend or include any prejudicial undertones.
He described the cartoon as a failure on many levels, adding that he attended school with Mr Sharp and knew he was Jewish

I really dislike when people add stupid, condescending nicknames to others. You see it across all of social media, left and right. It’s so pathetically childish and makes it hard for me then to bother reading anything else they have to say.

Don't let anyone ever tell you that the EHRC looking into Labour antisemitism whilst turning a blind eye to Tory Islamophobia was anything but a political stitch up...........

Feels like everything is anti semetic these days. Personally I don't see how that is antisemitic. As a random example I searched diane Abbott cartoon and she's portrayed much worse in about 10+. Feels you can't have a joke anymore in tory britain without being cancelled. A random example of an Abbott cartoon: Also I feel these cartoons are fair game btw. Only using Abbott as an example as I knew there'd be some bad ones of her.

The Abbott cartoon is a charecture of a black person, that then doesn't make it racist. And I actually think you've used the word woke in a correct context.

And I actually think you've used the word woke in a correct context. I think the media blackout in the UK in terms of what's been happening in Israel is more antisemetic myself. There have been many protests over the last number of months over the corrupt Israeli government which is oppressing hundreds of thousands of Jewish people. Yet the Jewish Chronicle who are very vocal on everything antisemitic continue to report in favour of the dictator such as this article - www.thejc.com/news/israel/netanyahu-planning-million-person-protest-in-favour-of-reforms-KTVJhwI4acmSLnElFVZ04In terms of his "reforms" my understanding is that he's due in court for corruption. So the reforms he wants is so he can select the judges for his own criminal hearing on corruption. Yet the only MP in the UK who has stood up to the Israeli dictator is... Jeremy Corbyn. And apparently he's also antisemitic. Seems to me that if you don't support Israeli dictators you're anti semetic. And if you support the hundreds of thousands of Jewish people protesting against the dictator... That makes you antisemetic.
