Thought he did fine today , I'd have left him on alongside crouch but to say he was shit is plain ridiculous won the penalty and was always on the move . He had the best chance of the game. Ten yards out. No one allowed within 8 yards of him. Keeper not allowed to move off his line or dive until after he has shot. Netting shaqs corner was much harder, but diouf did it I was willing him to score his penalty, everyone was but his goal scoring record his abysmall. The penalty spot is 12 yards out not 10. Might have beat Forster if he did take it from 10 yards.

With the radio on I was desperately willing him to score that penalty....but deep down I knew he was going to fluff it, and for me that says it all.
For whatever reason he's lost it somewhere along the line. I really don't think he's going to come good for us. I'm sorry, I really want him to, but....he can't even score a bloody penalty....where do you go from here?

Thought he was alright today, and he worked far harder than Jese has been doing the past few weeks in terms of closing down etc I could have done more than Jese has in the past few weeks.

He played well today. There's always got to be one player and Stoke fans will be fucked if they don't find a scapegoat every match!
Thought he held it up well, and much like the whole team, looked better when we switched to 4231. He Shaq and Chop seemed to link up well.
When Crouch came on, we slowed down, barely kept the ball and hardly came near their goal.
As for the OP you can fuck right off, if a player works hard all game, wins a pen, has the bollocks to take it and it happens to be saved, surely we support them and hope for the goal to come. Seems like one of those things where you had all this typed out in your mind as soon as you saw him on the team sheet.
He's the best striker we have (level with Diouf, who's now a right back) so fucking get behind him and praise what was a decent effort in a game where he fed off scraps and linked the play well.
Fucking Stoke fans.

I thought he was a bad signing (said so at the time and after) - but hes ours - and we need to keep encouraging him
I sense rather than anything else - he gets one and he'll score plenty, longer term
plainly not a loan striker either

You have to suspect that the only reason Hughes isn't starting Crouch is because it would be an admission that he's made another mistake in the transfer market. Utter bullshit You may suspect that Miss Marples I dont. I'll ignore the insults and bad language. However, you do seem to be in a small minority on this one.

Berahino looked decent, Crouch coming on lost us any semblance of attacking influence and we were very lucky to come out of the game with the win. I agree though, I'm happy with the win, love to see us grinding them out, but what did Berahino do wrong besides the pen today? If anything, i thought Choupo was our worst player.

Nobody else has said that, a manager wouldnt risk his job doing that. Someone has to be first. However, you have to admit Hughes has made some howlers in the transfer market and Berahino is the latest in a fairly long line of big money flops. Starting Crouch ahead of Berahino would be a clear admission of error. One or two more performances like that from Berahino and he'll have to consider giving Crouch a start. Who else would you suggest?

What a waste of money!!! Offers absolutely zero from open play, and throws in a missed penalty for good measure. Absolutely garbage. Crouch needs to start from here on in. Hughes clearly can't spend money. This type of post needs fucking off. Ok the guys missed a pen and hasn't scored but is this helpful? No it's not.
