Definitely didn't see us scoring once they got their goal so I'm happy with that result. And one less time we have to endure a Tony Pulis match. Happy days. The other nice thing is that TP will be furious with the mistake ha 😀 |

Prov s my point how desperate we are for a striker if we are relying on Crouch Bring Crouch on to lump balls to when Pulis goes 1-0 up. Is Hughes fucking demented? This game still needs creativity and players running at their defense and we put on Crouch. We are losing Go back to 442 and give it a go playing e ball on the fucking floor Not fucking Crouch  |

Great point on reflection especially after going a goal behind and 4pts after 3 games I'm sure we'd of all settled for prior to the season starting. Nice see Crouch scoring again, whilst a few people on here constantly berate him I think he still offers us a different attacking threat, and is dependable not not in front of goal but also in defending set piece situations. He is a player that's served us well and will continue to do so, definitely an asset to our newly crafted team.
A strange thing I noticed today was not once did a physio from either team enter the field of play during the game or anyone stay down injured after a tackle/foul. Thats something can't say I've noticed before. Unusual too as the tackles were flying in at points during the game. Ref still found 4mins of additional time to play.

Cameron was good, your disdain for him is nothing new seeing Zouma fell asleep. you saying they werent both at fault ?? No, Zouma was the main infraction there, falling asleep literally standing still letting a man drift by him into the far post and Geoff didn't slow him down or yell, but you see to negate the fact the RCB fell asleep and literally assumed an outside RWB could get inside a cutting Rodriguez, never going to happen unless he pulls him down. |

As a wing back Cameron is simply not good enough his crossing and temperament in their area abysmal. I agree, Cameron should be a midfielder and center back which are his actual position as there is better in the side now at RWB and RB. I'm not even sure there is better but that still doesn't make him even adequate. Erik's crossing was back on song today  |

A point away against any Pulis side is a point well earned. I feared the worst when they went 1-0 up, but Hughes made the right changes and the right time and we ground out a decent result. Fletcher was superb in the middle, and Zouma is just a joy to watch when he comes striding out of defense. Was at fault for the goal, but more than made up for it with his forward forays.
We're still lacking a cutting edge up front, although Choupo has shown enormous promise - has a great first touch and quick feet, and i think he'll prove a valuable addition. Jesé was largely anonymous, but not going to judge him against a side that play two back fours at home.
Ramadan looked dangerous and gave us some spark with his jinking runs.....needs a run in the side and this could be a big season for the lad.
Good to see Crouchie get on the scoresheet and illustrates exactly why he's still a valuable part of the squad.
Happy with a point and glad that ones out of the way.

Beforehand I would have taken a point, but we had so much possession and did so little with it. A few thoughts: 1. Choupo is not a centre forward. 2. Ramadan at right wing back is worth looking at. 3. We need more pace and urgency going forward and a new striker to play as the focal point of the attack. 4. Shaq was not properly fit and didn't dare to try to sprint. Why play him? 5. Bar a total cock up at the back we would have been pulised again, but in the end it is a good point. 6. Thank God we only have to suffer 2 games a season of that these days. The fact that we're starting with a makeshift centre forward who looks like a fish out of water up the middle is very frustrating. I saw enough of that against Arsenal. Amazed Hughes went with it again, showing no faith in the forward he chased for 2 years. He really needs to buy one he's willing to play. |

When Jese signed I kind of assumed he'd been brought in as a striker. I'd have switched him and Choupo at HT because Nyom was bullying Jese, and Choupo was outnumbered in the box. Could've tried it for 10 minutes, see if Jese could move the CHs and give us a different option to play a ball behind them instead of through them. |
