Great start for them but they're a very predictable side relying heavily on set pieces and no doubt the usual gamesmanship. Horrible side but definitely beatable. One of the games I love to see us beat. With Berahino and fletcher in our squad the game should have extra spice. Hopefully we'll have a couple of new players in by the time we play them. If not I'd go with
.............Jack............. ...Zouma.....Ryan.....Indi.... Cameron..Allen..Fletch....Eric ..Choupa....Berahino....Jese..
I'd give Shaq an extra week off. Love Mame but he worries me a bit defensively after today.
Thought after the goal Berahino looked to gain a lot of confidence.

I still think we will struggle to score goals and create chances although we look much more solid defensively. I'd move Cameron into midfield at the expense of Allen and keep MBD in the side for the time being. He worked hard today but we need better on that right hand side.

Make runs behind their defenders and get them out of position - forward players need to be fast and direct at them. If we are slow like Bournemouth were the other week, then they will find it very comfortable.

Mame worries you defensively yet against two sides who will probably finish in the top 6 we have conceded 1 goal that was through no fault of Mame.

Not as much v Everton but today he made 2 rash tackles that on other days would have been pens and in the first half on a number of occasions let players run beyond him. Love the guy to bits for his commitment but I think he'll get targeted.

He will grow into the wing back role and continue to do a good job there.

I like to think of myself as a fairly eloquent chap, but all I can think of at the moment is "Fuck off West Brom, and Tony Pulis is a cunt".

Must be the 8th or 9th time of trying in League and Cup next weekend since he parted this parish for Palace and WBA.
However many it is it has gone way beyond a joke.
What do we need to do different?
Could quiz Darren Fletcher, he should at least have the up to date inside line.

Could quiz Darren Fletcher, he should at least have the up to date inside line. The team he put together couldn't beat him so I doubt the tactical insight from one player will make a difference. We need Saido to score these goals he has been saving up all year

We need to expect all the shit stirring, under hand tactics and forget he was once out manager.
Concentrate on our game and don’t rise to his shit
Long over due, they are 2 wins from 2 which will make it all the sweeter

Score 1st. Keep XI on the pitch...... Easier said than done against the king of cheating gamesmanship. They should beat us, they've spent considerably more money.

Be interesting to assign an Eddy Clamp style (sir Stans escort') role, to someone in our team and make it known
on the pitch at least
anybody messes with Hessay on Sunday
gets their block knocked off at some stage later (figuratively)

Brass neck or what appealing that? I thought it was harsh. Eye on the ball no follow through. No intent. Arnie on the other hand! H

Remember him getting Law sent off.Taking a throw in Law stood in front of him jumping up and down (ok in those days) Clamp hit him in the face with the ball, Law pulled his fist back and Eddie went down like a sack of potatoes.Law hadn't touched him. Eddie was lying prone facing the Boothen End, occasionally looking up with a big grin and thumbs up while Law was being sent off. Hell of a character. 😁

No good trying to beat them in the air or long passes or tip-tap wall passes, their defence will cut them out; they are too well drilled. Pulis doesn't throw men forward so it is very difficult to catch out his teams on the break. We need to keep dribbling the ball into their penalty area and try and hold onto it till they foul and give us a penalty. I'm amazed more teams don't try that tactic. We have the players who can draw a foul - Jese, Shaq, Bojan, Choupo, Ramadan.
This might be the match to try and play Bojan and Shaq between their two back rows of 4 players. I'm glad we have got Fletcher to help turn them over.

Think he will stick with the same defense on Sunday? Mame has been highlighted now as being a bit clumsy in the box so he has to tread carefully. In fact I would ban him from defending in our own area as the baggies will be looking for this and the slightest touch will see them go down like a sack of spuds, something surprisingly the arsenal players didn't do. I agree on giving shaq a rest let saido conquer his demons.

I think in Hessay and Choupo we have the tools to really rattle them
we normally try to match them player for player and fail - this time, its different - very different.
I predict they will shit themselves if Hessay makes those intelligent galloping runs into space again
I also think Choupo is an unknown - a random they wont know how to cope with either
and, Id put Bojan in for Shaq ( assuming hes injured, with Ramadonna as able back up)
our back three / or four is as solid as theirs perhaps better even and of course, we not got Englands number one firing on all cylinders again.
just got to watch their Irish centre half at set pieces - other than that - absolutely no reason why we should not be looking to take another three solid points
optimistic
