They do rely on set pieces but I seem to remember them out playing us at their place last season and played some decent stuff, Rondon had a very good game bossing our defenders about. Saying that, we were a shambles and I think we're in a better place now. Would take a draw but would love a win.

Be interesting to assign an Eddy Clamp style (sir Stans escort') role, to someone in our team and make it known on the pitch at least anybody messes with Hessay on Sunday gets their block knocked off at some stage later (figuratively) Eddie Clamp. Unfortunately I am old enough to remember him. A true Stoke and Wolves hero. Sir Stan in his autobiography calls him my minder. Chopper Harris the ,Chelsea ,hard man of football in his day stayed well clear after Clampy hit him. Back to WBA, it is interesting that we are all anticipating there snide and despicable cheating tactics yet again.

We're in a better place but you know he'll be hell bent on turning us over, hook or by crook. A draw would be a good result.

Even mini-me Dyche learnt at the weekend that you can't out-Pulis Pulis. We need another Arsenal performance (at least first half and first 90 seconds of the second half) - solid at the back and hit them on the counter with pace, swift passing and flair. Press the ancient Barry and give Livermore no time on the ball. I hope he starts Rodriguez not Rondon again as the latter has been far more of a threat against us.

Won't they play both Rondon and Rodriguez? Rondon will just replace Robson-Kanu, won't he?

I think in Hessay and Choupo we have the tools to really rattle them we normally try to match them player for player and fail - this time, its different - very different. I predict they will shit themselves if Hessay makes those intelligent galloping runs into space again I also think Choupo is an unknown - a random they wont know how to cope with either and, Id put Bojan in for Shaq ( assuming hes injured, with Ramadonna as able back up) our back three / or four is as solid as theirs perhaps better even and of course, we not got Englands number one firing on all cylinders again. just got to watch their Irish centre half at set pieces - other than that - absolutely no reason why we should not be looking to take another three solid points optimistic Bojan would get battered, it would be like a ballroom dancer meeting a gang of thugs in a back alley. They would hack him to death.

Pulis is now in between a rock and a hard place. Win again, 3 out of 3,almost 25% of the way to safety before 10% of the season gone and he risks fans starting to have expectations beyond just survival. Also, it may give the board reason to believe he has a good enough squad.
On the other hand, he's a right bastard who just has to prove a point and will be desperate to win this above all other games.

Don't give any fouls away near the box, they score more than their fair share of goals from dead balls, and if we haven't improved our defending at set pieces,we could find ourselves in trouble.

I reckon the binary scores will continue for both teams. A 1-0 win would leave us with identical records.

This will be the first time in a few years I really fancy us. We looked a bloody bog side Saturday. With players who can defend and more importantly cause problems at set plays. Zouma 1st goal stoke cruise 2-0

Last season some West Brom away fans sang, "Your football is shit, your football is shiiit, Tony Pulis your football is shit."
Perhaps the Stoke away fans could start that this time. I'm sure many home fans would join in. If that happens, it would be one of the very rare occasions in which the away fans start a negative chant about the home team, and the home fans enthusiastically join in.

Fletcher bossed the midfield against us last season.
They physically bullied us as well though. We really need more pace in the team to counter that.
I am delighted we fluked a result on saturday but we'll lose at west brom. If we are going to play this system then we need to bring in proper wing backs and choupo and jese need to get fitter and press for the ball more often

I want Crouch as striker in this one. We need Crouch for defensive and offensive set pieces. Crouch was very effective last season. Saved us in the end of the season.

There was a brilliant one of those in 1996 against Man City at the Vic. We were beating them, second game of the season i think. The Mancs started a rousing rendition of "Ball Out" that soon spread loudly around all the home areas until the whole ground was singing it! Suppose from his point of view, that was infinitely preferable to having scalding coffee thrown in his face
