Dunna worry we'll be orate, Fletcher Is absolute class and with him having the stomach problem Which kept him out for a couple of years it would have saved his legs a little. Fergie always played him in the important matches as he trusted him to do the job. As long as we are bringing better players than we are letting go we'll be fine, keep the faith.

Rubbish. He was excellent in his first season with us and when stories of potential interest from west ham emerged he was easily one of our better players. As recently as October 2016, he got an England recall and was mysteriously being linked with Barcelona. Meanwhile bardsley couldn't get into a shit stoke side and an even shitter Scotland squad. Bardsley couldn't get into the side because first and foremost he's a defender and didn't fit into Leslie's idea of unbalanced and a going nowwhere idea of football. The lack of "defending" when the opposition had the ball has meant the likes of Shawcross being crucified for being out of position. The likes of Bardsley, Whelan and Walters needed replacing with better, younger players, players with equal bollocks to play a man's games. I'll await and pass judgement on the 1st of September If we are shit come the 1st of September it will have fuck all to do with losing Bardsley. He was toss anyway. He should fit in nicely at Burnley.

Pieters, generally, has been an excellent signing despite his poor form last season.

"Every" club needs a balance between those who would be in the trenches with you and those who would simply wave the white flag. This manager appears to prefer an unbalanced mix, or can't distinguish between the latter. A "team" is built upon mentality as much as skill.. Leslie set both Bardsley and Pieters up to fail by trying to play them as wing backs with no cover when both are primarily defenders. Their failures heaped unfair pressure on both central defenders who consistently appeared to be out of position. If we have a fair balance of bollocks and skill on 1st September with players playing in natural positions I'll hold my hands up an apologise. Leslie's track record to date gives me a justifiable reason to ask questions and defend certain players

Always liked Bardsley Always gave 100% and one of the only players I thought would have fitted into a Pulis/Hughes team Wrong decision for me but let's see who arrives before window shuts..

I still think we'll sign a right back tbh but why has Edwards come around as a shock to him? He was on the bench last December. It's all weird.

750k. Absolutely fuck all in todays market. Wow. Erm that's £750,000 more than we would have got until his new contract (that a lot moaned at) and not bad for a player that makes Darren anderton look healthy in his career Rising to £1.5m

Debating about Johnson, Bardsley and Pieters is like choosig between having a slap in the balls, a punch in the face or both at the same time.

Load of shit Hughes. Johnsons more interested in a round at Mere Golf club than playing football, so let's get rid of the lad that gives his heart for the side. Pathetic

I was far more disappointed when we signed him than seeing him leave. We needed better when we signed him, we needed better when he was here and now he's gone, we need better.

Don't mind saying I'm going to miss Phil, always 100% effort. Every squad needs a few Bardsley's.
God luck Phil and thanks.

Some of you need to give your heads a serious wobble. I normally avoid this place during the summer months. I should start doing so again. Bardsley was crap and he's no loss at all. The equal shitness if other players shouldn't even come into it. He's crap. He's gone and to a team even worse than us. Everyone's a winner
