One sided information yeh , that's the way to go ERM, like your favourite Daily Express you mean? Sometimes I wonder if you do it deliberately, but really the only conclusion is you're absolutely blinded by your own thickness.

And here we have a clear example how the completely false £350m figure is still being believed even now. The point is the £350m was fictitious. And yet it was believed widely enough to have an affect on the referendum - as your post clearly demonstrates. Why was it so widely believed when it was so easy to disprove? Because the bulk of the tabloids provided the platform. How many front pages of the Mail or Sun did that bus appear prominently on? Did those papers ever provide any critical analysis of the figure? No, because Rupert Murdoch and Viscount Rothermere wanted to break us from the EU. he's got you there, Smithers! Hoist by your own petard lol So many people trying to claim it had no effect on them! Of course, they would say that wouldn't they! I'm not really sure why you seem so obsessed with me but i've already stated why I voted leave in the end and I'm more than happy with my decision as I researched it beforehand, honestly what sort of thick fucker only looks into it after they have voted

Absolute classic garbage.

Not a single word of negotiation has taken place yet and the Remoaners are already pushing this. May said the GE was all about Brexit and got shouted down. Corbyn pretended it was about more bank holidays and free tuition fees.

I don't think a soft Brexit is going to cut it with either the leavers or the remainers - I'm talking about Joe public here, not the politicians. The leavers are going to say it isn't what we voted for and the remainers are going to say that if we're going to have a soft brexit, what is the actual point in leaving in the first place?

I fear your second point is the way we're heading. A final debate/vote in the HoC was offered by May. The others weren't happy at the time because they thought this meant May's Brexit or no deal and WTO rules apply. Now it'll probably mean a choice between whatever the Brexit deal is after all negotiations or "let's not bother leaving because there's very little difference to staying in".

The leavers are going to say it isn't what we voted for and the remainers are going to say that if we're going to have a soft brexit, what is the actual point in leaving in the first place? Fair assessment. We've had one foot out of Europe as a political and economic union for the past 15 years: no Euro, no Schengen, no common defence, and in some individual policy areas such as air traffic control we've had more autonomy than other member states. That makes a soft brexit harder to sell in the UK, because the eventual relationship with the EU might not be so different to what we have known, at least in daily life.

Altho I could see that playing into their hands too country is fucked from top to bottom, left to right.

What was excluded from the rebate calculations was additional expenditure relating to the growth of the EU. We still get the Thatcher rebate, or at least that's my understanding.

We should have a rule on here against people simply visiting their favourite Twitter feeds whether it is #ComeTheSocialistRevolution or #UncompromisingRightWingBigot I don't care which and simply regurgitating on here what they find there.
You know who you are! If we want to read that shit we could just sign up ourselves!
Some original thought backed up by an occasional fact followed by some discussion would be far prefereable.
I'm almost done with these threads for this reason.

So you're saying people should just take your approach & instead scan a thread, get the general vibe, decide which would get the biggest 'bite' & then dive in. In the case of this thread it'd go something like "Brexit is shit, we're all doomed. You're all racist bigots. Doooooomed".

If a pipe like you agreed with anything I had to say, I'd be a worried man. I think you need to go back to school and pay attention this time. It's a good job what you think is a complete irrelevance then. Go and have a tug to Angela Merkel or something.

Thanks guy at least we have someone on our side to ensure a clean break Verhofstadt is a complete illusion of an EU politician. His official duty during Brexit is to report back to the EU Parliament. That's it. He's not a negotiator and his thoughts and opinions are not received by the negotiating team.

Who thinks giving a referendum to the population is a terrible idea because we can't be trusted to make the right decision. Do you really think you sit on here having a "conversation" ?

I want to know what Jezza thinks. He wants to renationalise the utilities and railways but without a clean break he's fucked. Unless he already knows that but hopes the voters dont realise it.

There are reasons why i avoid the EE board and most of them are exhibited on this threas. But while I'm here, I may as well chip in and state that Corbyn would be the worst leader of the country since Cromwell IMHO.

The ECHR is nothing to do with our membership of the EU. The echr and the eu are separate bodies but, they are intertwined and the government did promise to leave the human rights act part after leaving the eu

I want to know what Jezza thinks. He wants to renationalise the utilities and railways but without a clean break he's fucked. Unless he already knows that but hopes the voters dont realise it. Where are you getting your info from? You can run government owned utilities from inside the EU. The government owned entity cannot abuse it's position in a monopoly and must allow private companies to access the market. Any private company can apply for a licence and operate trains on our network. Running franchised trains publically would not effect this. Owning the big six means the vast majority of users are under public ownership. But private companies are still allowed to access the market and run in competition alongside the government owned big six. It's not nationalisation like you are imagining. Even if there's an unlikely legal challenge there are exceptions in EU law to allow government ownership which can be made, if the government made decisions in the countries national interest it will be allowed to stand.
