One thing staunch Leavers haven’t helped themselves with is the view that anyone who still believes that staying in the EU (reformed or otherwise) is some sort of enemy of the state and democracy. People are perfectly entitled to that view, just as Leave campaigners would have continued to campaign for leave if the vote went the other way.
This view that 52% ended all debate on the matter and that ‘Leave means Leave ‘ is illogical and destructive.

Jesus Christ, they're not still going on about the Russians?! You sad bastards need to step outside of your little echo-chambers & venture out into the real world every now & again, once there you'll realise that everyone who has a different opinion to you isn't a "far-right Nazi", and every decision that doesn't go your way isn't because of "Russian interference".

For about 5 million people, including the 3 million EU citizens who live in the UK, and over 1.5 million Brits living in the EU, what you call the "real world" is a world of uncertainty and confusion and in some cases genuine fear for the future - who is really in an "echo-chamber" here?

"Believe" or "think"? It's faith-based politics, with people voting because of how they feel and now what they know, has got us into this mess.

Not sure if that was in response to me, but I don't actually think Russian interference had much to do with the Brexit referendum - there's certainly some accounts out there that support Brexit that are pretty questionable in their legitimacy, but ultimately I'm not sure enough money or resources was poured into it to make it have an affect. I was only responding to the comment of preferring to belief a robot's automated response than an actual person. That seemed a bit strange to me.

What are you on about? The population of the UK at the moment is around 66 million. Not all will be British but let’s say, for arguments sake, that there are 60 million Brits living here plus assorted Europeans and others. But you seem to think that there are only “3 million EU citizens who live in the UK, and over 1.5 million Brits living in the EU”. Where the fuck are the rest of them then? Or, don’t the British count as EU citizens any more as far as you are concerned? Or are you just talking bollocks while you write about “a world of uncertainty and confusion”?

I wonder if some genius is able work out the exact impact of these and offset them against the official pro Europe literature we got through the post from the Government at the time. Maybe the question should be asked why the masses chose not to believe the Government position rather than what goes on social media.
