Always have in the back of your mind the comments of David Davies 4 years ago..nothing will be decided until the end of the process. We are coming to this point Strike the best deal for the UK...#TAKEBACKCONTROL His comments often are in the back of my mind. Easiest trade deal in history, he said, concluded in an afternoon. He's a fucking idiot who was soon replaced from DexEU when it was blindingly obvious he was a fucking idiot, completely out of his depth! He's a fucking idiot says poster attributing comments by Liam Fox to David Davis too funny he (Fox) also said it should be not that it would be but anyway I will be more careful in future so despite the comedy gold contained within to not read your pearls of wisdom again.

How weird it must be being that thick but getting put in these positions of responsibility, seems to happen quite a lot with the Eton types, sometimes wish I'd gone there, I was a bit of a card player as a lad, I could have probably retired on leaving school

Nice to see you've grown out of blocking posters who disagree and climbed back into the pram after the latest flounce off! You're right, it was Liam Fox. So easy to get confused when so many Tory politicians (including the Bluffer in No 10) tried to tell us how easy it was all going to be. www.google.com/amp/s/www.indy100.com/article/brexit-easy-nigel-farage-theresa-may-david-davis-boris-johnson-8846041%3fampBear in mind that article was written 18 months ago. Getting a fantastic, world-beating new deal continues to be so easy that we're now about to break the law over an agreement that the Bluffer insisted every Tory MP should vote for on pain of deselection. Now that is comedy gold!

Yes I only take my information from far right racist websites like guido ( copyright Huddy), Davis was not found out he just wouldn't roll over and have his tummy tickled like Olly and Theresa because he actually wanted a real brexit.

Do you honestly believe Ian Dunt is a credible journalist? Just another, silver spoon in the mouth, left winger, who has never done a proper job, working for a left wing rag. I'm not defending David Davies, but at least he was brought up working class, got a relevant high level degree, worked a long time in industry, before entering politics. As for what Davis said in 2016, he is probably right. At the end of the day an agreement with the EU will be more dependant on maintaining German and French exports to this country than what some ideologists in Brussels decide. Germany is faced with propping up most of the EU now, it's exports to the UK have been plunging since 2015 and it can ill afford to damage it's remaining exports to the UK further with no deal. Davis just has to maintain a tough line in negotiations, and at the 12 hour compromise a little on fishing and government subsidy to allow the EU to save face.

Luckily for Dave his successor who the EU nicknamed 'the turnip' was so bad he made him look vaguely competent! www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2019/06/17/brussels-nicknamed-dominic-raab-turnip-disastrous-spell-brexit/

Yes, I thought he'd been dumped fairly rapidly once it was apparent he was a) a lazy sod who couldn't be arsed to prepare properly and b) out of his depth versus Barnier et al.

I take it he didn't do his degree in geography? Ho ho ho of course he doesn't know about southern Ireland being a separate country I mean he served in the sas reserves 1968-71 I am guessing it wasn't the welsh burning down holiday cottages that was the biggest threat for them.... Like I say smug twats like Dunt just cant accept the thickos as he sees them voted for brexit, the fact is he was proved right about sequencing but as usual May folded and the fools in parliament played their part helping the EU.

I don't know how close the SAS reserves/territorials remit is to that of the RN but if they're anything like, the chances of him making it anywhere near the front line were very small. I've just re-read it, seems his biggest fuck up wasn't geography, it was not knowing the EU rules, my bad, it was only his job I suppose.

I guess it took the TA longer to find out he was an idiot than it did the government. Something to be said for them I suppose! Remember when he said they'd done a full sector by sector analysis of the impact of Brexit, then admitted that, actually, they hadn't and he'd basically lied to parliament about it...oh well, not long to go now until we find out just what the impacts will be...

If you stick your fingers in your ears and 'believe' a bit more I find it helps stay on track. The 'oven ready' one was the WA agreement with terms that no British PM could ever agree to and is the same one that Iain Duncan Smith didn't need any more time to be debated in Parliament but then realised he didn't like the fine print. The easiest deal in history is the one that will be kicking in following the WA and comes in about 17.4m varieties and is a head scratcher for those who fail to understand the Island of Ireland (inc. The Foreign Secretary)

A little more admirable than being a keyboard warrior I'd have thought Redwhitnblue He will be coming after you? Oh no! Apparently, Davis was woefully underprepared at virtually all times and only bothered working three days a week when DeXEU minister, so provided I keep moving around on the days he's looking for me, I should be ok! Think you may have ingested a few too many 'disco biscuits', Dave!

Followyoudown. One of the keyboard warriors who regularly gets so upset that the toys go so far from the pram he goes into Oatcake radio silence for weeks to find them all again! I have always followed the oatcake as a guest...Whoever Followyoudown is/was if he triggered numbnuts as my opinion seems to do then I hope he comes back soon...

I have always followed the oatcake as a guest...Whoever Followyoudown is/was if he triggered numbnuts as my opinion seems to do then I hope he comes back soon... Don't worry, he's currently around. I've tried to advise him many times that, for the sake of his mental health, perhaps social media is not for him. But he keeps putting himself through it and keeps flouncing off. Sadly, all self inflicted. Like you said, why get so triggered over an exchange of opinions on a football message board?
