I have always followed the oatcake as a guest...Whoever Followyoudown is/was if he triggered numbnuts as my opinion seems to do then I hope he comes back soon... Don't worry, he's currently around. I've tried to advise him many times that, for the sake of his mental health, perhaps social media is not for him. But he keeps putting himself through it and keeps flouncing off. Sadly, all self inflicted. Like you said, why get so triggered over an exchange of opinions on a football message board? could not agree more....

Followyoudown. One of the keyboard warriors who regularly gets so upset that the toys go so far from the pram he goes into Oatcake radio silence for weeks to find them all again! I have always followed the oatcake as a guest...Whoever Followyoudown is/was if he triggered numbnuts as my opinion seems to do then I hope he comes back soon... Thats the problem with having so many accounts. Sometimes you forget who you're logged in as dont you dave?

Meanwhile, leaving the get-a-room you two to one side DT reporting that Liz Truss is preparing to alter the financial modelling to make post-Brexit trade deals seem more attractive. First Pinocchio Hancock with his made up testing figures, now this... "The Trade Secretary has drafted in experts [we like them again now, evidently!] to overhaul the department's models. Official data have projected that certain trade deals could shrink the economy and the new models are therefore more likely to cast the government's Global Britain trade deals in a more favourable light [i.e fudge the figures]. The deals Britain is seeking to strike with non-EU countries are not expected to compensate for the loss of the single market and customs union, however."

He spoke very well. Add it to the list of oh well, never mind... He did. A great shame that while Gibraltar and the UK were part of the EU for decades that Spain so often reverted to use border controls "as a weapon". (The DCM's words, not mine.) That just speaks volumes about our former so call EU partners, just like French lorry drivers and fishermen. Macron talks of "punishing" the UK, for making our own laws, while French border control assist illegal refugees to the UK. Fortunately Macron has raised no support from the rest of the EU, who actually know which side their bread is buttered.

The blokes an arrogant cock:
French President Emmanuel Macron has urged citizens to complain less, telling pensioners: "We don't realise how lucky we are".
The nation would be better off if they followed wartime Charles de Gaulle's example, the president told a woman worried about cuts to her pension on Thursday.
Mr Macron said he had learnt from Mr de Gaulle's grandson that the wartime leader lived by the principle: "You may speak very freely but the one thing you have no right to do is complain."
According to local media, he is then said to have told the pensioner: "I think the general had a good rule of thumb there.
"The country would be in a different place if it was like that. We don't realise how immensely lucky we are."

For a Christian, you do struggle with the love thy neighbour bit! It's certainly a great shame for Gibraltarians who voted 98% Remain! I don't see why the members of any club should bend over backwards to make life easier for non-members? I also wonder if patience has finally run out with the UK. After all, no-one has benefited more from various opt-outs over the years than the UK, we still voted to Leave and we still want to have our cake and eat it...given that most Brexiteers are quite happy to tell "Brussels to go fuck themselves", I don't understand why the reverse coming back should be anything other than tit for tat?

So the UK lorries can go and get a permit. If the EU refuse to dish out permits to the UK companies then they'll have to buy their oranges from South Africa rather than Spain - (like they already do) and as long as those companies make sure the Spanish orange growers know it's the EU who have blocked their trade, then that'll be fine by me.

Glad we'll be ok for oranges then, I don't eat them personally but at least that's one important commodity sorted.

Waga, those other ones, why are the london school of economics saying brexit will damage the economy many times more than coronavirus?
Are they a bunch of lefty idiots?
Why are we putting a fucking border in kent and creating a massive new level of bureaucracy that will cost more than what we were paying into europe?

So if there's no such thing as a permit to drive on European roads then why would just the British be stopped from doing so unless it's something the EU do to us. If that's the way the EU want to treat the UK then I'll be happy if we do all our trade with other nations and hope that the Spanish, French & Germans have a right proper moan to the unelected EU beurocrats.

If you don't get it now, I'm sorry, I'm obviously not clever enough to explain it clearly, either way, I'm done
