Good god, the absolute state of this ...
She's just compared Donald Trump to Jesus and Nelson Mandela! 🤦♂️
It's hard to know if she actually believes her drivel, or if she's simply hoping that her audience will.

It's straight out of the Conspiracy Theorists Playbook to construct a false equivalence and therefore a fallacious argument There are very few similarities between Trump and Mandela never mind Jesus, but they were both indeed persecuted by a corrupt Government As you say whether this particular Nutjob believes what she's saying or is merely saying it for her personal advantage is somewhat irrelevant There are plenty more eager Nutjob followers who can be easily manipulated which is generally referred to as an "Appeal to Ignorence" where something can't be proved to be true or false.

Not sure what was happening outside Trump Tower in Chicago earlier today but walkways and roads were closed off by the police

It’s sad but this psycho will likely be running for President one day. She’s the right wing AOC, a complete mess of a politician that makes you question your sanity after listening to their drivel.

Some big news today was that the Republican judge lost the election to the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
A big part of Trump's plan was stacking the federal courts with loyal judges.
State courts are different though. The Wisconsin election was important because there's a chance a republican majority would vote to end democracy if Democrats win any federal votes in Wisconsin. They could just give future elections to republicans like Trump.

I realise you are asking a hypothetical question but the short answer is no unless there was a Constitutional Amendment This question was somewhat answered by the Civil War after which US became a Federation with no right to secession unlike a Confederation The US Constitution has language which describes accession but not secession. The 10th Ammendment gives States autonomy of rights not ceded to US Federal Government but it gives the right to US Federal Government to overturn State decisions The question was specifically answered in Texas v White 1869 which upheld no right to secession .... unless by Revolution

Interesting stuff. Difficult to draw any firm conclusions since the polls indicate a close race, assuming it's Biden v Trump again. If anything, Biden appears to be edging in front in most of the more recent polls, and the fall-out from Trump's indictment is presumably yet to be accounted for, but still 18 months to go and who knows how the Republicans will respond to a Trump Desantis showdown. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nationwide_opinion_polling_for_the_2024_United_States_presidential_election

Not least when the next mass shooting takes place, which is probably only a few weeks away. Primarily to offer some rather pointlessly trite "thoughts and prayers" as the nation collectively goes "meh, not my kids, it's fine".

But if the pattern of voting is anything like before then a democratic vote win of 3% or perhaps even 4% would probably result in a Republican president. Biden's 4.5% win over Trump was barely enough to get the electoral college. There's been another 4 years of republican state governments in places like Georgia working on suppressing younger, urban and non-white voters as well.

Robert Kennedy Jr throwing his hat into the Democrat ring is an interesting development.
"If I run, my top priority will be to end the corrupt merger between state and corporate power that has ruined our economy, shattered the middle class, polluted our landscapes and waters, poisoned our children, and robbed us of our values and freedoms."
Sounds like the sort of thing which would appeal to Trump supporters as well as those on the left.

To be fair he was distanced by certain members of his family including some who are medical professionals for his very wacky views on Vaccinations, views which he has held for many years. To his credit he has a very impressive record on championing environment issues and for indigenous peoples including litigating and winning landmark judgements He is a complex individual who has zero chance of advancing in the Primary's if he even gets that far, but I guess it would provide him a platform to publicise his causes whichever ones he chooses to promote

It’s a shame that it didn’t destroy Fox. Reinstitution of the fairness doctrine would be a better thing to do long term (to achieve that goal), not that Movement Conservatives would ever allow for that to happen.

I believe that it's a serious risk to refuse a substantial and reasonable offer in such cases, and that a final payout can be reduced as a result.

Admitted the stories were lies which critics can now refer to endlessly. I think a decent outcome rather than the issue becoming bogged down in the courts. Not that the Army of Trump will believe it anyway, they probably think Fox is part of a pinko liberal conspiracy with the US court system.

Not that the Army of Trump will believe it anyway, they probably think Fox is part of a pinko liberal conspiracy with the US court system. They’ve accepted it before though. They did with Tucker Carlson, where the lawyer said that the average person would not believe him and that it was so obvious that he lied all the time. He still does it and is still watched by millions.

Good old Fox News. Good old Rupert Murdoch.
Close to £800m payout for lying about the non-existent vote rigging by perfectly fine voting machines, which of course the dangerous orange idiot gleefully latched onto and used to back up his dangerous nonsense.
And still this guy and Fox News will be front and centre in the forthcoming presidential election, instead of laughed at and despised.
The sooner both Trump and Murdoch turn up their toes the better. Trouble is, this dangerous bullshit has now set a very worrying precedent which politicians and media moguls to come will follow.

After fox admitted that they spread lies I hope ay least some people realised you can't be pro democracy *and* pro Trump.
It's like being pro Uighur freedom and pro Xi. Or pro Ukrainian freedom and pro Putin. Or anti-diving and pro-Wenger.

Or pro Ukrainian freedom and pro Putin. Or anti-diving and pro-Wenger. You can be pro-“a certain type of freedom” and pro-Trump. The type of freedom that aims to elect people without experience (who just happen to be his friends) to top government positions, or the type of freedom to say what you want, while also willfully ignoring policies that raise the debt ceiling tremendously (which they are supposed to hate). The type of freedom that perpetuates the divide between the rich and the poor. The type of freedom that sees the lamb willfully prance into the coyote lair.
