Understandable that they feel upset and glad to be rid. I'd feel the same in their shoes.
Being a spectator of games between us and west brom since early 90s, I have to say, one of most favourite games. When terracing was around, I quite liked watching their fans celebrate a goal, and boing boing.( only if we won).
But they used take the piss out of us when pulis was in charge, Ironically, they are now, what they hated us for being, and they have lost a great finisher. A mirror image type finisher of the little master that allowed me, enjoy watching their fans go mental. Because I knew he would score and we would win.
Sorry west brom fans, whatever you think about the situation, you are watching pulis ball, and we are not.

They are a bitter and twisted lot, aren't they?
A talented young bloke with a dreadfully traumatic background who obviously needed to be treated MUCH differently.
Obviously what WE know of his recent history will not be the full story, but it would appear that that our ex-Manager has treated him in a very spiteful manner, and the whole sad affair has spiralled out of control.
From what I can see, this business says much more about Mr Pulis than anyone else; he 'lost me' with his sideline behaviour at our place last season. He was 'dead to me' after that disgraceful showing; this shows us yet another aspect of his character; spiteful, churlish and nasty
All I hope is that Saido is treated better and displays his doubtless talent......................FOR US !!!!!!!

I always got the impression that he had been used in an internal political game - Pulis wanted the cash for his own payer. The chairman wanted a homegrown player or loads of money. The player didn't handle the situation well and Pulis did what we have seen him do with players throughout his career = made them look like the villain (just think back to his time with players such as Beattie and there are others).
Throughout his managerial career Pulis has fallen out with every club he has managed with the exception of Stoke - check the internet for detail of the court case between Gillingham and Pulis. Check the internet for details of his court case at Palace. Read what the Bristol City fans think of him and it goes on and on.
The interesting part for me is what Saido now does at Stoke and how he conducts himself - I don't really give a toss about how he was at WBA or what their fans think. I only care about our Club. I saw the interview with Saido and it wasn't what he said that impressed me the most it was the smile on his face. He appeared to be really happy to be free and away from WBA for whatever the reason(s) are. I guess we will never know the full story but we will know the spin which his old employers are allowed to spin but not their former employee.

The Times says he was offered to Southampton and West Ham at the eleventh hour because Pulis did not want him to come to Stoke.Wonder why that was?

Pulis dealt very well with various forms of 'damaged goods' at this club (think Ric, Matty etc) and it was a significant feature of his time here that a large number of players played the best football of their careers whilst with us. Whatever way we try and dress it up the root of Berahino's problems at West Brom were originally of his own making (or those of his advisers) and it's hardly surprising that their fans were a bit peeved with his behaviour. The advantage for us is that we are his 'last chance saloon' as far as this country is concerned so if he wants a top flight career here he's got to knuckle down now and earn it.

What I see is a player delighted to be at Stoke City. A player with a massive incentive to prove people wrong. Let's not forget he's a very young man who has had a torrid childhood. If he's matured he will use his undoubted talent to become a superb player. For me it's a risk worth taking and I'm very excited about his acquisition. This could be a fantastic deal.

A lot of it is about catching them at the right time of life. Look at Arnie, I'm sure the club has done everything it can but a lot of his change of character is probably down to the maturity a few extra years bring along with the responsibilities of parenthood. We might just have copped for Berahino at a point where he has got a lot of nonsense out of his system!

The more you think about Pulis the more you get to dislike him He was good for stoke. Joined us when we looked like dropping to the third tier of English footie. Left us in the middle of the premiership. We only got rid of him because he was boring the fans senseless! Let it go :-)

Pulis will do the right things by players if he has something to gain from it. That's the way he operates, I know this for a fact. I doubt he's alone in that regard amongst the managerial fraternity. Berahino's problems started before his arrival and he more than likely knew it was a matter of time before he went so he had nothing really to gain from putting any real effort into him. WBA have handled the whole saga very poorly and will end up costing them around £15million.
