Just thinking - I wonder if we as Stoke fans are more interested in this rather than Palace or West Bromwich fans who are directly involved ? ! I haven't followed this latest Pulis saga ( until yesterday ) but am now rather sadly keeping a close eye on developments... Looking at the MBs linked from this site, the Palace fans have a 9 page thread on it, the Baggies views are wrapped up in a generic Pulis thread and I'd be surprised if that was their busiest MB to be fair.

A number of forums I've visited that aren't even football related have all had something to say about it. It's not just us. Can anyone else remember an interview Pulis did with Football Focus shortly after becoming West Brom manager or before he left Palace? Went something along the lines of the interviewer asking him why he would come back to football, why not retire etc. His response was because of his love for the game, how he couldn't leave it. Well what a load of old bollocks that turned out to be. He also touched on his faith and how much be believes in God. Thou shalt not steal, no? Turns out he's just another scumbag in football. Couple this together with all his spiel about corruption, agents, wages that he's spoken about in the past and how it was ruining the game, how he started as a simple lad in Newport and how he sticks to his traditional values and isn't a materialist... You're a fucking fraud, Pulis.

Anyone who's had dealings with solicitors knows that SOME would advise a client to do anything he wanted for enough of a fee. Yeah. And even in the unlikely scenario that a solicitor did advise a client to defraud his employer for £2 million rather than work an extra couple of weeks, thereby putting the solicitor's own reputation and career at risk, the client still has to agree to do it. The most likely scenario is that Pulis had another job lined up but didn't want to miss out on a bonus payment. Exactly the same as at Gillingham. I entirely agree with you regarding TPs culpability. I just think you have more faith in the probity of the legal profession than I do.

Can anyone recall a football club with a vacancy (or an imminent departure) around that time ?

An excellent summary of the man's character
"When pursued by the Club to recover compensation for his breaches of duty, the excuse that he raised and maintained throughout the proceedings was a false one concerning the timing and effect of the Heated Players' Meeting. By any standards his conduct (prior to and during the litigation) has been shown to be disgraceful."

Makes me wonder if he ever tried to bleed any extra cash from PC, given their relationship. For all the people stuck firmly up his arse, all his antics at the Brit last season was enough to make me want to jump the barrier and lamp the fucker. His conduct was disgraceful and completely tarnished any good will towards him- as he clearly has very little for his former employers.

Allardyce was under pressure after a poor 2013/14 season, but if you recall they made an excellent start to the following season.

A great Stoke manager. Have any of the usual suspects mentioned that or are they still stroking each other off?

Maybe we should make a huge banner pledging our undying support and unfurl it at the hawthorns when we meet. What about having a whip round too ?

I thought the reception he got this year was perfect, he came out and tried to get some appreciation by clapping the whole ground and hardly anybody noticed him, then when he turned to the away dug out he waved at the supporters behind and several of them flicked the v's at him. The good will he built up was destroyed by his behaviour during that first game back with all but a few die hard felater's seeing him for what he really is, and I quote from the judgement itself a "DISGRACEFULL" individual.

You think it's acceptable then mate ? I don't give two shits mate. So on the EE board you criticize the Government for benefit cuts presumably due to the injustice of them, yet you condone (by saying you don't care) his deceitful lying and attempted thievery of 2 million pounds, come on momo you must have a view on whether or not Tony was lying through his teeth in a court of law to a judges face or just unlucky ?

As I said at the time of the first adjudication the evidence must be damning. I don't feel particularly sorry for Parrish as he's a massive bell end, the Palace fans maybe but he's going to have to pay 'them' back. It doesn't change my mind one iota about the job he did and it certainly doesn't give rise to the wankstain misplaced sense of justification we have riddled through this thread.

I wouldn't call it a sense of misplaced justification, I look at it as confirmation, by a judge no less, of the mans obvious and deep character flaws.

For what he did in the first 4 years he was here, Yes without a doubt but for the turgid life sucking shit he produced and had the gall to call "steak and chips" in his last two years and for his hypocritical and appalling behaviour since, he's a cunt of the highest order, a written statement of which has been confirmed, signed, sealed and delivered to him in the form of an appeal judgement from the High Court of England and Wales.
