Does anyone know if he got a signing on payment for WBA I think these so called "golden hellos" are quite typical nowadays so I would have thought so. You would have thought also that WBA would have been made aware of his CP arrangement and covered his risk by offering a golden hello of a comparable amount. In that way, TP might then have thought any potential CP loss would be covered by WBA such that he was in fact in a no lose situation.

He didn't join West Brom until January, They only gave Irvine the job that season so don't think it was the reason he left CPFC. Why he left when he did and not 2 weeks later when he would be due the bonus only he will know.

That seems very peculiar, why would someone leave a very lucrative position and jeopardise a seven figure bonus unless you were guaranteed something equally lucrative (or really really hated CPFC)!!

I can't fathom why he didn't just wait a fortnight. For the sake of almost 4 million of the Queens English.
Unfuckingbelievable.

Thanks for what you did at Stoke Tone but maybe PC was more savvy and realised what a sneaky , conniving cunt he really is. Be afraid West Brom , be very afraid!.

So basically he allegedly told a porky or his memory failed him..got found out and has to pay the club £3.7mill in damages... I feel so sorry for him... £3.7mill in damages! That's Christmas cancelled on sandbanks! Him and Arry will be down the Sandbanks soup kitchen in their fingerless gloves huddling over a bowl of tommy soup. Serves the shyster right.

He's never been relegated though 😀 He went down in that court room! Haha.. Think he needs to sack his accountant/financial advisor/solicitor. It's bordering on stupidity at it's highest level. Bet Kempy has got something to do with this. 😊

I'd imagine a certain Mr Scally of Gillingham will be breaking open a big bottle of champers when he reads this judgement. I have to say that (even though I was a Pulis supporter until the last few months of his time with us) this case leaves a rather nasty taste in the mouth. I think that, if I were in TP's shoes and had wanted to terminate my contract early, I would have accepted that, either I would lose the bonus or, at the very least, I would have honoured my contract until such time as I actually became entitled to the bonus. It does seem that the more some people have the more greedy they get. TP gets an annual salary which is beyond anything which his father could have dreamed of earning in his lifetime and to adopt devious means to try to swindle a £2 million bonus (to which he was not entitled) out of Crystal Palace really is depressingly greedy and mean spirited. To me its plain arrogant, if I were in such a position I'd have just gone sick for a couple of weeks picked up my bonus then said adios. You can't say it wasn't all pre planned but how badly. If he didn't take advice he was stupid, if he did seek professional advice you'd be thinking about suing them for incompetence.

No TU, he has never been relegated - or sacked. Erm, what happened at Stoke City then? He just decided to leave after the end of the season? Not on your life. Afraid PC was too clever for him. A bit like Magnier, the race horse owner v Fergie. There was only ever going to be one winner there.
As for wondering where the money will come from, it''s the sacked managers or the ones who cleverly move on when they can't have their own way with the chairman, who are making a fortune. But still want more and ever more. It stinks.

Why would he need professional advice? He knew exactly what he was doing asking for the bonus early and he knew exactly what he was going to do once he received it.
He's a 58 year old professional man, not some wet behind the ears teenager.

Scally absolutely detests Pulis, and i think this was demonstrated when he was refused entry to Gillinghams ground when we played them in the fa cup. I thought it petulant at the time but i think this demonstrates the weight of feeling against him.Scally said at the time when Pulis was last in court that he should be imprisoned. Fraud is a very serious offence but Pulis will never be bought to task over it.

As far as Pulis is concerned in this case he's either thick as pig shit, arrogant beyond belief or has got some dodgy professional advisors.

Its nasty, greedy, underhanded and grubby. No wonder Pulis is involved.
He was a real classless bastard at times, and he couldnt hide it with the things he did.
He was divisive until the end, with everything he did.
The interviews, the players, team selection, the europa run, players transfers, the Academy, the dodgy dossier All of it.
Pulis loves to look at past records, just look at his now....Gillingham, Stoke, Palace
Thankfully we had a Chairman and board/advisors (The family and TS?) that also finally had enough at the right time

He's a 58 year old professional man, not some wet behind the ears teenager. Exactly, he's a professional man so should have known to seek appropriate advise to see would early payment of the bonus be in breach of the terms of his contract. If he'd spent a few quid on proper advise he'd still be sitting on north of a two mil cash pile!!!!

If he'd spent a few quid on proper advise he'd still be sitting on north of a two mil cash pile!!!! He didn't need any advice. He'd told Parrish on 8th August that he was happy and would still be in charge on August 31st. He knew that was when he was legally entitled to his bonus, tried to pull a fast one and has paid a heavy price.
