This post has gone the way of many on here, people have strong views, take up an entrenched position, and then just argue it to death.
I think most fans take a relatively balanced view of these things, and one thing is surely not up for debate, MH does what he believes is best. Not everyone will agree with him all of the time, but that is football.
Regarding Woolly, I could not care less how he ran or that he wore gloves, for me, and almost everyone I speak to, he just wasn't good enough. That does not mean he was crap or a disaster, he had some great games, as said in this thread, Anfield was superb, one of the best CH displays I have seen for years. However, too many poor performances and mistakes have been his downfall.
At best he should have been a back up CH for me, not first choice.

Really I think you are glad he has gone because he was crap, even the bloke who brought him here realised it. I suspect he left, not for reasons of ability or performance, but something else. What do you suspect? You're not the only one but there have been various posters who have alluded to "something else". Wish they'd just spit it out and tell us.

I'm glad he's gone just for the fact Crapslinger won't have to keep slapping his head every fucking post. Until the next scapegoat that is! H Really I think you are glad he has gone because he was crap, even the bloke who brought him here realised it. I'm just thinking of your deteriorating brain cells that's all. H

Never really settled in the house the Club found him in Dresden. He thought they were taking the piss. {Only joking.}

This comment on Wollscheid's Wikipedia page seems to sum him up perfectly:
"Wollscheid may be big, but he will not strike the fear of God into opposing strikers. At his best, he is a gifted all round defender, with excellent positioning and relatively secure heading and tackling. He can play with both feet, and can mark equally well man to man or zonally, although he can be prone to losses of concentration."

No mate, I've posted far worse. Did Overson ever play top flight football anywhere? No mate he didn't but come on Vinny or Wollschied?😄 Vinny in gloves now there's a picture😄 I get the rosy nostalgia, and I was massive fan of Vinny during the Macari era. Fantastic leader and a very good defender for the level at which we were competing, but lets not get carried away. Overson in his prime would get absolutely fucking destroyed in the Premier League.

He might be back soon😄Dortmund destroyed Wolfsburg, and Wollscheid in particular. Exposed at 4 of the 5 goals today.

I'd file this under predictable but bad news. The haste to fuck him off doesn't make the deal sound particularly watertight. He might be back....... which would raise morale!

The problem with Wolly was too many got giddy with a few passes out of defence early in his time at Stoke which seemed to give some people a semi.
The harsh reality is that he rarely surpassed bang average and had a wrick in him during most games.
We'd been suffering terribly at the back with and without him and I think because he was shiny and new, certain folk got distracted.
As with most things on the MB the truth lies somewhere in between the two polar opinions on here.
He definitely wasn't the great hope and "best defender we've ever had" (as I've seen him ludicrously described as) but neither was the worst (he was very decent in some games culminating in the away leg at Anfield).
Me, I didn't overly rate him but I conceded he got better during the course of last season without me ever having much confidence in him.

Probably the best individual defensive performance in our recent history.... but there we go.

The fact our manager has moved his replacement out to left back after one game speaks volumes, about a lot of things.
One of those things isn't the quality of Indi either.

Me I'd say I'd seen better from Ryan, Huth and Abdy at various points since promotion but that's just my opinion.

I think it's speaks more about the manager resorting to desperate measures as he didn't know what to do with the back four. The decision to move him to left back was a massive cluster fuck in my eyes.
