He´s contract expires 2018 and will not be extended so he´ll probably go for £2M next summer. Stoke should have pushed for Money instead of all these loans same with joselu. Will miss him thought he was a decent player. Meanwhile players like Crouch and Haugaard seems inpossible to get rid of.

A bit down about this really. Miles better than Bayern and his boo boys made him out to be. Also very weird that he was signed and kept because he was a batter ball player and one Mr Huth was let go My thought - should have kept him along with this new chappie as we are still short on CB's as Muni and Geoffrey are stand in's only He really isn't. It's a great day. It's really not.

Kicker in Germany claiming it's a: £1.3m loan fee £5m permanent move triggered after a certain number of games So we've potentially sold him for more than Huth and Wilson combined? That's odd.

In a few years time when someone mentions Wolly, I will remember him as the German who ran like a girl wore gloves and put in possible the worst CB performance I have ever seen against Sunderland. We have been blessed over the years with fabulous CBs... such as Shawcross, Smith, Cranson, Overson, Sergei and the Berlin Wall.....I am afraid Wolly is a very pale shadow of those titans.

As opposed to the centre half we've just signed, who spent his entire Sky interview groping some blokes leg in the car? It's all about balance. Edit. Correctness.

One poison dripping cunt says it's the worse defensive display ever and the other mindless sheep follow.

To be fair, I think that was his agent's son in the car I think the term 'manager' threw him a bit. As welcome to the club interviews go, it was a relatively strange one, it has to be said - even beyond it being conducted by Dominic Cork.

It would be quite healthy now if we respected the contribution Wolly made or , if that's out of the range of some people, didn't comment at all , and instead moved on to hoping the new bloke turns out to be the commanding and mobile presence we need in the back four.

You've got that right it's the law of the oatcake land, for me he was very dependable when he was on it but prone to lapses in concentration and with his great vision and reading of the game came some outstanding interceptions but some woeful mistakes.

Fair play Wuzza you are right. He wasn't as dire as people make out, but he also deserved "some" of the the criticism he got at times as well.He will be a blip in a few years time, kinda like Woodgate I guess.

For all his faults, Wollscheid played his part in two Premier League 9th placed finishes.

All the best to Wolly.
Never really seemed to fit in..nowhere near as bad as some make out..perhaps not as good as others make out..but save the odd meltdown here and there he was alright I thought.
Some had made their mind up before he'd put on the shirt though.Im all for constructive criticism but it went beyond that with a few.In fact they seemed to take genuine delight in seeing him make a mistake.
Still no doubt they will move on to their next victim. My money's on Imbula as he wears gloves.

Wolly started the season better than Ryan, no question, but that wasn't hard. The issue is and was to get Ryan back to his imperious best and to find him a partner who would make up for Ryan's deficiencies and with Bruno Indi, it looks like we've done it. We badly needed someone with pace and mobility next to Ryan.

I think Wooly was every bit as bad as some people say to begin with but he improved steadily and considerably and by the time of his departure I would say he was just about able to function as a Premier League centre back.

Certainly wish him luck and thank him for his contribution
Id add that looking at those statistics it just shows how exposed he has been by our lack of defensive midfield cover - an issue that still remains unaddressed
