We get it every week, come rain, shit or sleet. True, but there may be a reason for that. Just read this board mate and it'll certainly give you a clue.

I assume the checklist on a game by game basis goes:
1. Is he wearing gloves? Yes - fucking garbage CB No - go to no. 2
2. Did we concede a goal? Yes - Wollscheid's fault No - Ryan is world-class
3. Did we concede a penalty? Yes - got be to Wollscheid's fault No - we were lucky, well done Ryan and keeper
4. Did Huth play well today for LCFC? Yes - fucking hell Wollscheid why can't you be Huth No - Huth is still better Didn't play - Huth is still better
5. Did Wollscheid do any last ditch tackles? Yes - his own fault for getting in that position No - offers nothing to the defence
6. Did Wollscheid lose his man, either leading to a goal or not? Yes - fucking horseshit what an joke SHITE player No - well done to Ryan, Erik and Phil B
7. Did Wollscheid play? Yes - shit player No - shit player

I've never been a fan but thought he had an all right game again today.
No point moaning about his distribution... people keep giving it him in dangerous areas against a Guardiola team that presses high up the pitch... what do you expect to happen?

I didn't get a god view of the goals apart from the 1st and 3rd but when he had the ball he usually came out with it and looked like a calming influence compared to Ryan often lumping it out or straight back to city.
No matter how you look at it we lost 4-1, at home.

Get off the lads back apart from joe Allen today he was the best Stoke player on the pitch. If wolly put in a performance that shawcross has being doing recently we would never hear the last of people slagging him off. Yes he started off slow for us adapting to the premier league but if the lad put in a world class display people would till try and pick faults. Get off his back just because you have made your opinion and whatever he does he won't be able change some peoples opinions.

I normally can rag on the lad but he was the steel in defence today and not Ryan. Something is wrong with the mentality of our defenders and their body language. Need steel and communication, not quite lions. To that Wollscheid saved Whelans bacon, Bojans bacon and Ryan's. Lad was immense and is growing to show he can pass it up fast bypassing Whelan and getting it to the diamond which helps our attacks more so.

Amazed I haven't seen a thread on this yet. I hate to slag one of our own off, but I cannot understand how he is earning a living as a footballer. Everybody seems to wince every time he has the ball, he scares the living daylights out of me, he can't kick properly, he runs away from the ball, and I can't even explain that run of his. Seems like the nicest of guys, but he really can't play. Looked a liability against Boro, the same again today...sorry. I honestly think some of our supporters keep their beady eyes on one player throughout the game, whispering to themselves "Mess up, mess up, come on - make a mistake" - just so they can go home and gleefully go to town on them via their keyboards. Wolly was definitely not the problem today. Had a pretty solid game. If you'd think I'd spend hard earned money travelling up and down the country to watch my team secretly hoping for a mess up so I can slag someone off when I get back then you're deluded mate. Look through my recent posts, very rarely do I make a point of a player having a bad game, but I wasn't alone today in the thinking that this guy is seriously woeful...

I thought he was our best defender against middlesbrough and the best today as well. I thought Pieters was our best defender today, and he was still poor.

This thread is already embarrassing, he was the best out of 4 defenders today; the penalty, 3rd and 4th goals were all our captains fault with the 2nd goal being Whelans fault. But our captain has proved himself over the years hence why he is our captain. He will have a bad game now and then...I'm talking about our future, Wolly isn't it at CB

Everybody was poor today, Allen exempt, but he's been consistently poor. May have 1 good game in 4/5, if we want to challenge for Europe he cannot be starting.

Ryan is so far away from his best i don't think anyone could partner him
He played great for hundreds of games for us but he's miles off top form at the moment
I think to be fair to wolly you have to play him with the more mobile Cameron and then judge him
Also sparky and bowen need to accept if you play wolly you keep the game in front of you and don't even bother trying to keep a high line
Wolly is making the best of a bad job for us but there is no way he has the pace for playing a high line against aguerro nolito ienacho and co

Until we sign a proper partner for Ryan we'll go on getting beatings like today. Reality is we are always gonna finish 9th-12th but how he plays in the Premier League is an absolute joke.

This. We all love a target for our (oft undeserved) frustrations. But if he can't defend or slides in on the halfway line whilst they go on and score then it needs talking about. You say it likes it's a skill he doesn't have. Like it's an utter indisputable absolute. Ryan, Erik, Glen and Bardo don't get tarred with this brush, but they do the same thing. Why is this? Because we need that target.

He was ok today. Nothing more, nothing less.
Needs to realise that the gap between him and Ekker isn't acceptable though but the manager needs to sort that really.

On par with Bardsley as our best defenders today. But still we conceded 4, so he can't be praised as 'steel at the back' as some are saying, he wasn't the worst today, he wasn't the best, but he's not what we need going forward.

At the end we just went to pieces with centre halves being pulled into spaces and no one either tracking the runners in behind or filling in the space left by the centre half going with his man.
