Yup! And Bony. And if not Ngoy then Verlinden. Now is a great time to give these lads a chance. The goes for T.Edwards over one of the older right backs on the bench. Think Verlinden's still injured. I doubt we'll see him in the senior squad again this season. He'll need easing back in when he is fit. Unless he's another we've managed to fuck up he was is/was due back in the next few weeks.

bernews.com/2017/02/bristol-city-football-club-signs-osagi-bascome/Looks like one we looked at but did not take further. He comes from a family of international footballers and cricketers. We do have a few in each generation that are worth considering here in Bermuda - from Clyde Best, through Goater and Lightbourne, to Nahki Wells. We obviously have some links (presumably through Lightbourne who is a club coach and national under-20 coach now), as we had Dale Eve, and took a look at Chae Brangman. They have UK passports, so it makes bringing them over easier. Chesterfield and Ilkeston have a link up with some of the coaches here and another youngster has gone via Ilkeston to sign for Chesterfield (Rae Simons). A couple more are in non-league and there is a young winger at West Ham (probably via a Clyde Best recommendation). bernews.com/2017/02/ilkeston-fc-appoints-goater-first-team-manager/Following on from the above, the Bermudianisation of Ilkeston continues apace, with Shaun Goater installed as manager now! It is like Stoke under the Icelanders...... They tried it before with a Bermuda team in the lower US leagues, but it folded after a year or two. Now they have a UK team to use. It may be worth keeping a check on the young kids that come over, as there is some natural talent over here that could develop into promising players given time.

Tough draw - but suppose either of Man City or Chelsea would've been pretty formidable, should we get past Preston. They seem to be in a class of their own. Chelsea seem to win it nearly every year.

Notice England U16 are playing Spain at Leek tonight.
Again, no sniff of Stoke representation - but players from Southend, West Brom, Fulham and Brighton all in the squad.
As was noted last season, call-ups from 30-odd clubs for England age-group squads last season - and NONE from Stoke. Players from 43 clubs got call-ups the season before (NONE from Stoke!)
We always seem woefully under-represented in this area. As one of only about 20 of these massively-funded Category A Academies for 4-5 yrs now, wonder what the explanation for this can be when you see some of the clubs that routinely get representation?
No idea if Campbell is still in the shake-up after getting a few youth caps at Man City.

Thought Brighton looked a decent team in that Youth Cup game a few weeks ago. Chelsea have just destroyed them 13-0

Un16,s 2-0 down with 20 mins to go won 3-2 What are the U16s like? Heard they're pretty good? At this stage of the season we only have 5 un16,s as the rest of the squad are trying to get scholar,s with other clubs having nit been offered one by stoke ,, today we started with 3 16,s and 8 plus 5 subs all un15,s at 2-0 2 of the 16,s got sub and we go on to win 3-2

Looking at the table for the u18s barring a massive shitfest of results we should qualify for the middle group when the leagues get split into 3.

How many has Campbell scored since he's been here? Must be averaging more than a goal per game

Only watched Campbell a few times but he looks like a natural born finisher, a real talent.

I saw either Paul or Mike Macari a few years ago walking up to the game with a couple of kids with Macari Stoke shirts on. Nice to see them supporting Stoke when they easily could have gone for Man Utd
