No worries, he'd have been in the under 23s still. If he was even still at the club.

That's not good news I wonder how long that will take to heal?

Stress fracture, probably a few weeks you'd imagine.

any chance of Campbell and Ngoy getting on the bench on Saturday? NGoy should be starting and I'd put one of the other academy (Campbell or Abdallah) strikers on the bench with Crouch.

Im rapidly coming to the conclusion that the acadamy is a total waste of time and should be disbanded

well you hear all these names - all these sides
and fuck all comes through to press the first team squad AT ALL.
even Ngoy - Ive seen myself
nowhere near ready
( Maybe Pulis was right - 'All money should be spent on 'front of shop')

We really have to do our share when it comes to creating footballers. We might get the odd one which comes through but they'll be few and far between. Whilst Shotton wasn't quite good enough for us he's carved out a decent career in the championship. Moult is another one who might end up at palace. From what I've seen there are quite a few lads in the academy who will have decent careers in football whether that's with us or elsewhere. It doesn't help though if successive managers don't give opportunities to the younger players to show what they can do.

N'Goy played well yesterday!!

So Gyollai has gone back to Nantwich on loan (which is a bit underwhelming).
Abdallah has gone to Avranches in the French third tier. I think that's a good level for him at the moment.
Hopefully Shenton, Taylor and Lecygne can get out on loan too.
And Verlinden and N'Goy get time at least on the bench. There are no excuses.

SLP hinted at Lecygne to Crewe, unsure if that's still on with Davis gone. Waring was another mentioned. Moha is back, random link to Cambridge on loan earlier.

Lecygne just needs games at a league level.

Nice piece in Dutch media on Verlinden: www.voetbalkrant.com/nl/nieuws/lees/2017-01-09/thibaud-verlinden-nu-al-hot-in-engeland-een-potentiele-wereldtopperRecent years brought our country further very few exceptional talents. This year will again look to what shelling young Belgians. In England, one of our compatriots already followed with suspicion: Thibaud Verlinden. "Thibaud Verlinden. Keep that boy and what is happening around him, but in the eye, "says Chris Beattie of Tribal Football in an interview with Voetbalkrant.com . "The technical staff of Stoke City can not believe what a talent Verlinden is. They are sure that they hold a potential world class player with the Belgian. " "One of the best players in his age group in Europe ", so describe the people of Stoke their talented winger now. According to Beattie will not be long before the Premier League will meet our countryman. "It's a guy to keep an eye on and to look forward to." Verlinden is working currently on his big break at Stoke City . The skilful dribbling winger kicked the season twice in the squad of the first team, but playing time in the Premier League so far failed to materialize.
