There do seem to be some big gaps in the u21 calendar, I was assuming there could be a cup type competition in there somewhere?
I imagine Lecygne will be with the first team this year, if not, I could definitely see him being a candidate for a loan spell.
It does look a bit congested in some of the positions, I think Yusuf moving on has probably made the managers job a little easier selecting his attacking options.

We play in the central league cup usually don't we? Even with the normal calendar with a week's gap you can get away with letting a few out on loan and then either using a U-18 or bringing them back to use them in the U-21 to cover.
There's certainly decent scope to give a lot of players the maximum game time we can offer.

Anyone heard anything re Waring? I was wondering the same thing. I know he was injured cwhen he arrived back from Barnsley - but I assumed he would be training by now if not playing. Is he listed in the U21 squad. |

You might be interested to know that Jack Nardiello and James Alabi have been on trial at Torquay. Alabi has been released, but I think Nardiello is still down there trying to get a contract.
Torquay have played two pre-season matches so far and one of their trialists, Ashley Yeoman, has scored NINE goals over the two games!!! He was actually released by Torquay at the end of last season. Doing a decent job of earning another contract!

More good news. I know these aren't homegrown talents but still it would be nice to see a couple of talented players spending a few years coming through to potentially play in the first team even if we cheated by bring them in at 16. |

Maybe it's just me that would like to know about our respective tours to Hungary and Madrid? The coverage from the Official Site has been awful so far this summer, there wasn't even an article introducing the new scholars was there? Maybe they're waiting on more? But even still something about the respective tours would be nice!

It's going to be interesting to see what happens in the midfield. We're well stocked there now with Lecygne, Waddington, Molina, Roberts, Jarvis and Shenton all playing there. I'd imagine Jarvis will start with the U-18's but he is out there with the U-21's seemingly, someone needs a loan imo. |
