Not from what I read online he's going to rotate with his deputies. Big mistake. He'll do well against Cameron at PMQs IMO. A voice of principal versus a voice of, well, government! I don't really get this principle thing, for 32 years he's been a member of a party that for large amounts of time have not represented his views in the slightest, to me that's the ultimate careerist mp and of course with a brother called piers, this man of the people act is stretching it a little bit too.

Of course they did £3 a pop to have a pop, less than a cup of Costa to fuck the Labour party up for the next ten years, cheap as chips and the other week Labour were crowing about the increase in membership prior to the leadership vote (rofl)funny as fuck you really could not make this up classic comedy.

Wait and see on the first bit but whatever you think of the result Labour members new and old voted for Corbyn so the Tories getting him elected is as bigger a myth as anything you'll read on the refugees thread, whether they have all voted for christmas is another thing that we'll find out in 3 years or so.

I am well aware of your adoration of this subject and at each and every opportunity you use the occasion to exploit it . But , I will repeat and reiterate the fact that you would never divulge your politics . You have denied many many times that you were a Labour supporter when requested . You seem to be a very troubled and sensitive unemployed teacher . And you seem to be a very twisted and angered bully these days. I was a member of the Labour Party, I left when Bliar took us to an illegal war. Corbyn is an honest and genuine socialist who has my support. And yet again your thinly veiled attempts at calling me "queer" backfire spectacularly. What a bitter and twisted creature you have become. You are defiantly queer but not in a sexual orientation way that would be a very un PC of you tut tut , I am shocked that an ex teacher would use such a term Sir ! we expect much better termination by mid term

For Mumf.... Not trying to be pedantic but he wouldn't have crossed the 50% threshold in the 1st round. It's debatable how many would have had him as 2nd, 3rd or even 4th choice, but in my opinion he'd of struggled to get past the 50% mark on members only votes. Not that this matters of course.

How so ? Just leave the agenda alone if possible Pay the debt off by growing the economy and increasing tax revenues. I've posted the economic argument for this on the Scottish Independance thread but I'm not clever enough to work out how to post a link. Make of that what you will... No agenda here. Just reason. Raising taxes is best done by making sure workers have expendable income to feed business hence feeding the treausury. Pricing people out of things by increasing the usual suspects does nothing for the economy or the debt. We are however trapped in the compressed wage bubble brought about by the introduction of cheap labour and at the other end, large companies using loopholes to avoid paying tax. Neither of these will improve anything except the profits for the greedy rich.

The corporate media have made any policies that favour ordinary folk rather than their corporation friends seem ludicrous and there's a long way to go to move from fear to hope.
As I said, there's currently 25million+ non voters.
I can't imagine they're all waiting for the next Blair clone (which is all Cameron is).

And tbh the views of a these days centre to far right MB are about as relevant to the future of the Labour Party and socialist politics in this country as a semi-educated chocolate teapot... So sal are you in the left wingers must be more intelligent camp ? cheap shot if you do Leftwingers are more intelligent - it's been scientifically proven (I can paste the link again if you like ). Just because you don't like the result of the study, that doesn't invalidate it or cheapen it, other than in your eyes! Once again only recently, the terror of those on the right at the 'uncontrollable influx' of migrants/refugees/asylum seekers from Syria, as pandered to and propagated by the usual right wing press, has lent yet more support to precisely what that scientific study of 15,000 people found - that rightwingers tend to be of lower intelligence, often prejudiced, terrified of anything that threatens the status quo especially if it comes from 'abroad'. You couldn't ask for a better demonstration of the findings of that study! You can say there are those on the left who also share those views, and you'd be right, but less so. It is primarily an approach held by rightwingers. There won't have been many rightwingers at the refugee march in London yesterday! I can't decide whether they are generally a bit dimmer than those on the left as the study concludes or whether they just don't give as much of a shit about other people. I suspect probably a mixture of both.

Advocated by most political commentators as being the standout government of the 20th century in terms of achievement. In fact most of the advances to our society that we all take for granted right now have come political initiatives which derive from traditionally 'left-leaning' ideology. Rights for workers, social housing, the welfare state, the NHS to name just four. The fact that people over the last 35 years are daft enough to vote for governments red and blue which continually underfund these institutions doesn't make them any less valid. There's more than enough money in this country to solve all of its problems, it's just that most of it is in the hands of people who don't want to share a bigger portion of it, despite being more than able to afford to. And this continuing and deepening austerity seems to be returning us to exactly the kind of Edwardian reliance on private charitable giving (food banks etc) that prompted Attlee to realise that this would never solve poverty and inequality and that state initiated redistribution of wealth would. We seem very much to have given up on that idea. Over the last decade, as living standards dropped for most of us as a result of a neoliberal economy-inspired recession, the wealthiest got even wealthier. If you think that is how to run the country for the majority of people in it, you have some strange idea of how to run a country.
