It's not gone unnoticed that Andy Burnham has not done any interviews following the result at the time of writing, as far as I can see, at least.

The start of differential politics, I hope. The difference being that one will be in government and the other wont . If that's the only difference between Labour and the Conservatives, then you must be really happy with how things are in politics? Well, until today that is.

Reading some analysis he's often rebelled against labour leadership
Will be interesting how he can instill loyalty. There will be a lot of political manoeuvring to get in the right place to be his successor

The prospect of ten years in the wilderness gives me no pleasure . Neither does the idiotic bullshit spouted on here by ideologists . If you think that's the way forward then you grossly underestimate the hatred engendered by this man . Whatever the ethical merits of the man is immaterial . You and your kind are backing failure . That's failure with a capital 'F' . No ifs no buts ....Failure .! Why would you want to spend the next 10 years bemoaning Tory policies .? The party will split .

That's failure with a capital 'F' . No ifs no buts ....Failure .! Why would you want to spend the next 10 years bemoaning Tory policies .? The party will split . I'm not a Labour voter, Mumf, never have been, I've usually voted Conservative, apart from one year when I voted for the Natural Law Party as I thought yogic flying looked interesting, and UKIP for the European and General elections. I disagree with plenty of what he says and what he stands for in general. What he is, however, is different from the sound bite Labour Party, introduced by Blair, and carried on by Cameron. All I've heard from you, is just how bad he will be for the Party. This thread is an embarrassment to non Corbyn Labour supporters, nobody has been capable of presenting a reason why any of the other candidates are particularly suited to the job, other than "they're not Corbyn". And that's the whole problem with your very consistent point of view that if Corbyn wins, then Labour loses. Labour would loose without Corbyn, because no one knows what Labour actually stands for. I really cannot understand your wish to see Labour in power at any cost, Blair has been cited as someone that knew how to win elections, what so good about that, unless you want to see career politicians, serving themselves rather than us?

What a brilliant, inspiring day for a whole lot of us. Time for the party to slough off the worst of the old 'modernisers', their time has passed. This isn't going back to the past, it's the future and if power-hungry centre right social democrats want to go and join the tiny Liberal party and ultimately crash and burn together... but wait, have we been here before?

And tbh the views of a these days centre to far right MB are about as relevant to the future of the Labour Party and socialist politics in this country as a semi-educated chocolate teapot...

It was perhaps the shallowest pool of talent for any leadership election of any party, with the exception of the recent Lib Dem election obviously. I doubt any of them would of gone on to election victory.
I do find it odd that Labour have for each of the past 3 leaders selected someone who is clearly unelectable as PM to very many swing voters. Looking to the future I'm yet to see any "rising stars" either, which of course wasn't helped by the drubbing they received in May. It looks like the rest of this decade and the next one will go the same way as the eighties and early nineties politically, Corbyn's only hope is some major crisis i.e the economy bombing, Syria's refugees leading to some sort of European crisis and the current government losing complete control. Would a desperate electorate then turn to Corbyn. Very unlikely but not totally impossible.

I think so. Following a decade and half of power the tories elected 3 unelectable leaders in a row, Hague-IDS-Howard. It seems that Labour have done the same in Brown-Millibund-Corbyn. Does anyone, be they far left or far right, think/thought any of those 6 stood/stands a chance of being PM baring a miracle? Enjoy the moment as it's pretty quickly going to turn sour.
