This is getting seriously windy now and I think there is now an increasing chance of the game being off, a couple of times in the Man U game the ball wouldn't stay in the quadrant when corners were being taken and the wind is much stronger tonight. The reason for the WBA game being called off was the ref couldnt get the ball to stay on the penalty spot I can see the same happening tonight.

The club are clearly desperate to play, when does the ref get there and what influence do the Police have?

House tiles and debris being hurled around in Stafford. If it's owt like this in Stoke then it would be a tad irresponsible for the game to still go ahead.

While there's the subject of bad weather conditions in recent years i still struggle to understand how, 2 years ago this very month Stoke City 0-1 Sunderland took place. Easy and biased to say "It should have been postponed" because we lost and Huth got sent off but at the time, pre-match, trying to get to the match, being at the match, trying to get home after the match i just thought it was an atrocious decision to let that game go ahead. At half time i went out for a smoke and i still feel shivers of cold when i think about how appalling the weather was. Not only for the match, which was a bit of a farce but with folk worrying about traveling for both sets of supporters, it was infinitely more hazardous that day than today. In my opinion, i guess i'll wait until tonight and if i die, like Stafford' believes people will, then i'll be on here first thing tomorrow and won't i look a fool. Speaking to you from the grave. Compared with the weather conditions that day today is quite pleasant. The point I was making mate is that there will be tree's down everywhere as well as lorry's going over on the m'ways etc. Then there will be coaches blown all over the place. This sort of weather always causes chaos and unfortunetly deaths. Why put footie fans in that situation? The problem is footie fans are a passionate bunch and will try and get to a game come what may.

Public safety will see this called off along with the red weather alert ( 1st time in two years )
Telling people not to travel unless essential .....a footie match is not essential

Trentham Road now completely closed in two separate places due to fallen trees
How are we supposed to get to the game if this carries on?

I'm in Dresden, just over a mile as the crow flies to the west of the Brit. It's blowing panels off the shops here. I was going to go, but IMO it's too dangerous to take my grandkids. Whatever happens, my lot won't be going.
OS.
