The FIFA scandal, seems to be loosing momentum, if things carry on in the way they are going, people will stop caring, and FIFA will be able to keep their gravy train going. another one sacked for paying himself large bonuses www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36364768It's all well and good sacking these bastards but when are we going to see them in the dock?

Having said that, FIFA does not need reforming, it needs to be disbanded.

The problem is, how do we know the people replacing these are not as bad.
If they are anything like British politicians they will simply create new regulations to make their corruptions legals.
Here we had the expenses scandal, spent millions on an inquiry, the result of that being that politicians vote for their own pay increase to compensate for a lowering of expenses, and implement new rules which allow them to legally get around the system. Legalised corruption!!!....job done!!!

My guess is the investigation is over. Concacaf and comnebol got battered.
Qatar is the landmark. If 2022 goes ahead there Infantino is the new boss the same as the old boss.

It's a year since the arrests now. Infantino is the new boss. Is Blatter going to squeal on his ex colleagues? ?

Can't see Qatar being binned off now. We are too close to start a new bidding period. Unless we gave it to a country with infrastructure in place (England). Infantino will know this and will just let it happen now

2 of them got a bonus for 2018 World Cup. In 2015.
Can't really claim to be surprised though

Also, why was a bonus paid after WC2010 in Dec, as you'd expect when the competition is over and bonuses have been earned (cough) BUT the following year they all got a 'bonus' for a WC three years away? Quite a convenient way to pay bribe money you would think

Could FIFA have made two worse decisions: Russia 2018 - www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-36515213A group of "well-trained" Russian hooligans were behind the violence in Marseille when Russia played England in a Euro 2016 match, prosecutors say. Qatar 2022 - www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-36516006A court in Qatar has convicted a Dutch woman of having sex outside marriage after she told police she was raped. Seriously, you'd have to be trying hard to pick two worse places to hold the next two World Cups wouldn't you?

unbelievably (or has it passed that now?), Sepp has just come out to say he knew draws for competitions were rigged, by the use of hot and cold balls in the draw.
only just breaking all over social media, not concrete links to established sources atm

This method might explain arsenal's 10 year home draws in the fa cup.

He's actually saying that UEFA draws were fixed - not FIFA World Cup draws. However, it still begs the question as to why he did not blow the whistle at the time.
Edit: Another nail in Platini's coffin, hopefully.
