What bollox! How do you know? I didn’t say it was a fact I said that I’d read it!!!!!!! "An intriguing rumour doing the rounds is that Loretta Lynch, the pugnacious US attorney general who went to war with Fifa, is coming under political pressure to ease off. The theory is that any unfortunate discovery around the 2018 World Cup bid would start a clamour for Russia to be stripped and therefore complicate the geopolitical picture, particularly in Syria – just as there is no political will to take 2022 away from Qatar while the Qataris are gushing sovereign wealth into western economies." Try it reading properly instead of jumping to the conclusion that I was stating a fact, idiot. www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/fifa/12160384/Fifa-presidential-election-is-beyond-a-joke-abolition-is-the-only-solution-to-their-game-of-thrones.htmlOk. I take it back (well at least the "what bollox" part). Next time please quote your source. However, I didn't say you were stating fact, just wanted to know how you knew. I don't believe everything I read in the paper, especially unsubstantiated rumors. Can I assume you a Margaret Thatcher fan since you appear to get your information from the Torygraph. You know what she said "if you have to resort to insults ("idiot") you argument is usually weak or non-existent".

So does this mean they will both miss the Qatar World Cup as well as the one in Russia, assuming they both go ahead? Another appeal pendingPolitical reasons according to Platini, but didn't he admit to voting for political reasons? and does anyone no what actual work he did for Blatter?

It has been widely hinted that France hosting this year wasn't entirely honest work by Michel.

The whole thing needs burning down just look what SexWhale said, and I quote -
"Blatter's work is a monument that stands for itself. It is a mountain that cannot be moved. It is up to the ethics committee what happens. The damage done is for posterity but it is not like they've murdered or committed genocide. It is a game. We are there to understand and carry on their good work and learn from their mistakes."

I'm guessing you are no more surprised about it than I am... He has been under suspicion for ages. His involvement in the big one remains uncovered. And probably will do for a long time. If he wanted to appease the masses he could have instructed a revote. A 'leader' would do that.

FIFA has zero integrity but its set up in a way where it doesn't need integrity

Now now now let’s not all rush to judgement, I’m sure there’s a perfectly reasonable explanation as to why the TV rights for a major club tournament were sold off cheaply, and then immediately sold on for three times that value.

Michel Platini's six-year ban from football has been reduced to four years by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and he will stand down as UEFA president in the next few days. You would think that Blatter's appeal will fail also. Strange that UEFA aren't going to bring in a interim president for the Euros. I wonder if there has ever been a Euros staged where UEFA haven't had a president in place before?

To makes sure they can sweep any inconvenient issues under the carpet.

The FIFA scandal, seems to be loosing momentum, if things carry on in the way they are going, people will stop caring, and FIFA will be able to keep their gravy train going.
