This is quite embarrassing for him, he actually seems to believe he’s above the law as FIFA President.

The way he's just dismissing a payment of over £1 million as almost pocket change and citing 40 years service to FIFA as some sort of justification for his actions is unbelievable the guy is unhinged.

If the payment was a genuine payment for services, then it would (should) have been included on a tax return. Whether or not the payment was included on a tax return is a crucial piece of evidence I would have thought.

Would the FBI be able to demand that info from French Taxation Authority, They have a 45% rate above 151k so Michel might be in the merde.

Crisis? What is a crisis. Now you know and good riddance That's exactly what I was just going to post. Part 2 of his insanity plea or just a deluded old man on the way to prison desperately trying to cling on to power and looking for hope. “Crisis, what is a crisis?” Well Sepp your life is in crisis and it’s long overdue. news.sky.com/story/1609832/blatter-on-ban-bribery-is-against-my-heart

Not sure if the FBI would have any interest in this unless the money went thru a US bank. You'd like to think the French tax authorities would take a look at it, but I'm not holding my breath.

If it was in dollars they have jurisdiction. My point was that it may well help prove misuse of FIFA funds by Blatter and Platini’s failure to declare might be useful as anecdotal evidence because we all want to see him, actually no , both of them carted off to a federal prison in the USA. Sepp and Michel in handcuffs now that would make a great picture.

I may have heard that wrong but that's what I thought. Don't think so mate. USD are used globally for transactions between different countries. So far pretty much all those arrested have been from South America or CONCACAF. I seriously doubt if the Asian or African representatives are any less corrupt, it's just that they haven't used US banks (at least, as far as we know - yet). The sad truth is that the US investigators are the only ones in the world with the resources and the will to have done this. Any dodgy dealings done through Far Eastern banks, for instance, are unlikely to have any scrutiny.

He is still claiming to be the president of FIFA or as I think of it as FIFA, despite everything as he is only suspended.
Some people have no shame.
Best answer is to let him remain president but replace FIFA

I've just read that said most transactions in dollars end going through the Federal reserve in New York if it was in dollars for a second. So the likelihood is that it comes under the jurisdiction of the FBI.
