I smashed my 5k PB yesterday, which is now 21:36! My fastest since November. I was surprised for a few reasons including the heat and barely eating the previous night. I'm sometimes still finding it hard to even get out to run, and for the last 2k or so, I knew the run was going well and became anxious I was about to be taken out by a dog. In the past year, every time I've reached PB kind of pace, I've been injured by something or other. So hopefully I can get over that mental block.

Early morning 8 mile run at a nice steady pace. I got two runs in on holiday last week before breakfast and I'd forgotten what a nice time of day it is to run

Most importantly it’s cool too.

10k race a couple of weeks ago in 38.05, aiming to break 62.30 for 10 miles for the autumn 10 miles races and then peak for the Valencia marathon in December if it goes ahead. Training is 50-55 miles per week, topping out at 75 miles per week by mid-November.

The old mantra I know Salop, easier said than done. 12 mile plan for tomorrow.....but might just up it a half as its going to be early doors run to avoid the heat

I hope you're fixed soon salopstick.
I was able to run for 3 days in a row for the first time since February the past week. I've mixed it up a bit and thrown in lots of hills, including a 2.5k started by running up a hill almost as fast as I could then regaining my breath going back down. Also a couple of 7.5ks and a 5k where I knocked another 9 seconds off my PB.
Today I didn't feel like going out but ended up at 9.3km (5:00 pace with 176m elevation) after noticing a piece of paper had dropped from my phone case and I ran back (uphill) to find it. It wasn't important after all, but at least I didn't litter...

Not surprised really but had a call off H4H regarding Berlin Marathon to confirm their will be no runners from UK permitted due to travel restrictions
A virtual option/deferral to 2022 seems on the cards with more information to follow via email
Would be interesting to see now if that is what happens regarding other large City marathons for home athletes

Trail half marathon last Sunday. 800 feet of climbing, 26°C and no wind. Hate trail running at the best of times and only did it as a favour as it was a mate who organised it. Brutal. Next up is a four week solid training block before the ASICS London 10k, which will be dovetailed with peaking for the rescheduled Big Half in August. Have a few others races too, but will use them as training.

This is a ridiculous achievement, been following the tracking all week. She made an attempt a few weeks back and had to stop after 3 days due to snow storms in May.
It's pretty unfathomable to me that people can physically achieve this.
