10 miles myself this morning, horrible weather. What are all the local runs? Obviously there is the Potters 'arf in June, and the marathon in July which I'm hoping to do, but what else is there to keep myself motivated with targets? Stafford half marathon isn't long away but unfortunately fully booked. Here's another fairly comprehensive list including the NSRRA races above.

What a man he is - taking photos of all the local races for gratis. I saw him in the Nike shop in Freeport a few months ago and had to go and shake his hand. He probably thought I was a bit weird, but in my eyes he's a local legend.

13.5 miles this morning up and down Cheddleton and Ipstones finest hills..... in the rain im trying for 15 in the morning, the younger faster guys training for london and ultras are out, ive got to set out 30 mins earlier to get an extra 3 miles in .

I'm half marathon ready, I've done a training run over the distance in each of the last 10 weeks and the speed is there I could have done with Alsager 5 being tomorrow....this bloody cold and flu is all around me

managed 15 miles in 2.12, longest run in 18 months, running up the chutes from the river and over the canal back into the village wasnt a good idea after 14 miles.

It was a good run, never been up Blurton Bank before 😓
1:20:24 was my time, very happy with that, especially as I've had a bit of a cold.
Bit pricey for a run down Stanley Matthews Way and back through Blurton though.

Tough 10 miler through Cannock Chase today 70 minutes so I'm happy with that.
I was chatting yesterday to one of the lads at Fenton Manor who did the old Michelin 10 mile race back in 1983 when they closed the A500 for the race. He had the results book with him. The first 700 runners all went under 70 minutes and the winner managed 49 minutes.

It was a good run, never been up Blurton Bank before 😓 1:20:24 was my time, very happy with that, especially as I've had a bit of a cold. Bit pricey for a run down Stanley Matthews Way and back through Blurton though. i think thats why the turnout was low. I was a no show, not run for the last couple of weeks so decided to get back on my marathon plan instead of 10 miles, lost my money but hey ho.

The inclines im finding are hard You're not starting from complete scratch which is good. Inclines are a bitch.
