Chris Woakes just isn't anywhere near being international standard in my opinion. He has had a good chance in the 20/20 and ODI side but every time he's played he has struggled and looks totally out of his depth. He should be sent back to have the rest of the season with Warwickshire. I don't want him anywhere near our national side in any form of the game. Harsh but fair i think. Dernbach can go for me too, he's not as out of his depth as Woakes but he's getting there. 20/20 cricket draws similarities wih The League Cup nowadays, when we're doing well i love it. When we lose it's a case of "well that's not really important is it, T20, now back to the real stuff"

COMPTON Good today, But it's still not good enough to get in the Ashes team.

I thought Compton had been dropped but that was before I realised Somerset were playing the Aussies. It makes far more sense for him to face them than to play Essex. It's like giving him a Test to prove himself without wasting a Test. I think he'll play. WTF happened to the Somerset mid/lower order?

I think he might, the selectors have made the right call to let him play against the Aussies and not Essex imo.

He isn't going to play in the tests mate ...I think it's obvious that Pietersens return has seen too that, That and the fact that the selectors wish to retain Bairstow in the middle order ....I can't see him playing for England again

Not really .....four innings do not equate to shit performances ....it takes more than that to evaluate a players potential selection for Test cricket ....but I think you are just being deliberately argumentative on this point are you not?

There may be something in your feeling mate .....apparently he is guesting for Worcestershire against the Australians next week.....obviously he may still be in England 's thoughts for the series .....I think that's good , but not the way I would have done it , it sends out the wrong message

How's that for a collapse yesterday, Somerset playing against Australia. Batting first Somerset were 304-2 and then proceeded to get bowled out for 320! Calypso Collapso! Lost 6 wickets for 0 runs! www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/scorecard/o34776

Listening to Tredwell on the Radio and he sounds just like Mo Farah, absolutely exact same voice and he also looks like a Vicar. I like him a lot
