Now this may seem like a bit of a stupid question for some , but no matter what your thoughts on him are you all actually going to get behind him and give him a chance or just bitch and moan till (if at all ) he comes good ????
In my opinion we should all unite behind our new manager and backroom staff and start the season stronger together

Of course they will, if there was no discontent watching the most turgid drivel I have witnessed over the last two years. People will see a breath of fresh air has occurred and the place will be rocking.

If the results / performances improve of course
As a man though I think he extremely difficult to like and we couldn't have made a more divisive choice

He wasn't particularly on my wanted list but I'm 100% behind him unless he does a wank job. Don't like the bloke but as long as the football improves and results are good he will have my support. As thousands of fans are,I'm just looking forward to seeing some proper football down Stoke again after two seasons of the most horrible, negative, boring excuse for football I've ever seen.

I don't want him but I will get behind him, I hope be proves me wrong just like Pulis did. There were some supporters who wouldn't back Pulis no matter what he achieved and it will be the same with Hughes.

Absolutely I will be right behind him particularly as I'll win £150 from sky bet!! My wife is officially ITK! If he's to be our manager then he has my full backing. I hope he's hugely successful.

We don't seem to have really cast our net very wide and have plumped for the 'cheap' option yet again. Huge missed opportunity IMHO

You don't have to like the guy .....I never thought that Pulis was particularly likeable .....but if you call yourself a Stoke supporter, you have to get behind him to start with and give the guy a fair crack of the whip

Agreed, hope the rest of the muppets take that attitude, luckily the few hundred on this board are a fraction of the total fan base

The manager of your football club carries all of your hopes and dreams in their hands. Maybe 'like' isnt the right word but you do need to respect, trust and admire them. As things stand I don't feel any of those things and Hughes is going to have to work hard to earn those attributes for me to feel anything other than apathy towards him.

Welcome Mark "Chicky" Hughes!
Ill support him, but reserve the right to feel massively underwhelmed right now. I also hope he approaches it in the right way and leaves the surly excuse mongering back in London. But of course yeah.. any other option would be based purely on the man, he has every right to try and be the best Stoke manager he can and should be backed while doing so.

I'm totally uninspired by Mark Hughes, he's got all the charisma and charm of a dead fish. Tony Pulis wasn't the most likable fella but I had a good degree of respect for him, given the things he achieved here and that coming out second half for that Villa game. Pulis earned our respect cos he was never gonna be universally loved, think Hughes will have to do exactly the same.
Whilst I'm disappointed, he's not done anything, good or bad for us yet, so I'll keep my gob shut.
I think it's going to be a tough job for him though, peoples tolerance was stretched under Pulis towards the end and I doubt this appointment will go far in improving that.

I'll give him a chance but the minute he starts pulling any of the shit he's been known for I'll be calling for his head. I still think it's a positively baffling appointment and perhaps the big heads at SCFC have lost the plot entirely. But we'll see.

Don't care who the manager is to a great extent, it is what happens on the pitch that matters, get that right and he will win the vast majority over very quickly.

No! I will get behind the lads 100% but Hughes can fuck off! But Stafford, you've been saying for months how anyone not 100% behind the manager isn't welcome at the ground, how they're a disruptive infulence and you don't want them at Stoke games and they won't be missed. Byebye.

That's the route to success if ever there was one.
