im starting to agree, it really pisses me off. Hes scarred to death of getting a thumping not like they have any potent threat up front. Its not bearing us any good in the media either with new signings when eidur says what he did

Why do we fuck about with strikers every transfer window but fail to address our deficiencies in central midfield and at fullback?
TP has spoken about evolving but it seems like every transfer window most of what we do is bring up new targets who might be able to get on the end of some hoofs.
I'm not ready for TP to go but I'm concerned that we are running a player like Tuncay out of the team (not saying he was world class, but he did offer something different).

I think we'll stay up this season, but I think 'creativity' is out of the window now for Pulis. If he was to get another player like Tuncay and Eider- he'd just be sat on the bench anyway (and why would a quality player come now? Was that why we didn't sign anyone 'exciting' in the Jan transfer window? I don't blame them.)
TP has one more season I reckon. Fans won't pay to see tactics like tonight; we don't want a lot of quality/ pretty football- just a LITTLE!

I feel a slight overreaction here Kev (yes I'm being serious folks) To say get rid of Pulis based on the past few matches is totally over the top, yes it's been frustrating since the turn of the year (for whatever reasons) but it's hardly time to say get rid and let's panic is it? Also it proves a point when WFW is your only supporter edit -> and I am trying to work out who is sarcastic and who is not ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kwfoKwtHI0jglJZ4qZf6.gif) It's not just about the losses though mate. We cant move on with his tactics and mindset. Can you honestly say quality players are queuing up to come here and play this crap? and sadly without said players we are stuck.

I'm racking my brains trying to work out at what point the manager felt the need to regress back to this shit and why? We were playing some good stuff with TWO proper wingers. We were potent, effective, lively and dynamic. We weren't high-risk or particularly open at the back. And now, this. WHY? Nail on head mate

Im actually thinking about going crewe to see some decent football, had enough of this hoofball now, enough is enough, theres only so much us fans can put up with, selling tunc and seeing that performance tonight has put the final nail in the coffin for me.

If Pulis went I'd be preparing myself for Championship football in 2 years, not many managers can get the results on such a low budget.

Had enough of current tactics but don't want him to leave I dont think he'll ever change the negative tactics... But he did in the first half of the season. He played 2 wingers and our best 11. Hence we picked up the majority of our 30 points.

+2 unless he suddenly develops a 'must win' mentality Think you'll find the "must draw" mentality will kick in first.

Begovic/Sorenson, Wilko, Shawcross, Huth, Higginbottom, Pennant, Whitehead, Whelan/Wilson, Ethers, Fuller, Jones, Carew.
Pick the best 11 of those and chances are you will win a lot of games.
Why don't we?

The last straw for me was not signing a full back - Is Pulis trying to tell us there is no one in the whole of Europe that is betterthan collins or Higgy? We cant afford anyone for this position? DONT BELIEVE IT PULIS!!!! After tonight, where his team selection made us look more than ordaiary, its just confirmed to me that in order to progress we need a change at the top - but im afraid that Coates wont sack Pulis until the Christmas after we get relegated, and only if we are in mid table mediocrity in the Championship. And before the rimmers start, Im not "happy to be slagging off the club" as they would say and would never slag off any player that pulls on the shirt and gives of his best. Just fed up with the dross we are served up by Pulis. He will NEVER change! Eventually Stoke will have to change him (for someone else)!!!

I have come back on the oatcake to see that things havent improved. Reading some of these posts i get the feeling that some would actually like Stoke to lose on Saturday so they can carry with the abuse. Do you actually think for one minute that Peter Coates is going to sack Tony Pulis, someone who he personally contacted to come back to this club with him and admired him for agreeing to do so. Even more so because of what has been achieved since. I dont think its ever going to happen so stop wishing and start getting behind the players and you might find we are in the top half again on Saturday night Why do you think that because people moan about the manager they don't get behind the team on matchday? I would bet that nearly all of the "wrist-slashers" and "moaners" will be shouting their heads off Saturday for the team. Stoke City Football Club is about ALL of us and just because some of us don't like this particular manager's football philosophy doesn't make us bad supporters.

He will stay up and then needs to sit down and have a 'real think' about tactics to pulsate the fans cos at times it's just backs to the wall survive at all costs football.

Surely, the whole point of being in this league is the opportunity to have a go at these teams. That's why we want to be here. If Pulis ain't bothered I can't see the point in being in this league. We may as well be mixing with teams he thinks we can compete with.

I'll never forget what he's done getting us into the Premiership from where we were. The one thing that I'd hate to happen is for him to take us back down and all the wonderful work he's done be replaced my the memorys of negative football and relegation. He's worth so much more. I think TP has taken us as far as he can as a club sometimes that can happen. He's become way too stubborn and isn't prepared to change tactics particularly away from home. Tonights team selection was all about damage limitation and no one can convince me he was ever going for a draw at best. We're worth more than that. It wasn't Chelsea, Arsenal or Spurs we were playing tonight it was a very average Liverpool side that we comfortably beat at home with not much difference in either sides available personal. I think we're becoming stagnent and we need some new blood on the management team that can attract better players and can produce better football. Someone like O'Neill would be perfect if he'd come even someone like Curbishly would improve us and use our best players and not the likes of Diao and drop Ric for the far less limited Walters.

I do not wear rose tinted glasses and would prefer Brazil style football and be challenging in the top 4. Stop there!!! after 47 years yes years not months I am happy to be mid table in the Premership with an opportunity of seeing even better players arriving in the summer.
Wrist slashers I am sure the Vale would value you your support

+1 Ive followed Stoke through thick and thin, Nuneaton away, one of the 600 at Cardiff playoffs, Brighton and Colchester away on tuesday night! The thing is, we expected to be shit then, but we have now spent millions on our team! To not have more than one shot on target all night is garbage! Ive got to admit, this style of football is awful. Just think that, we need to move on football wise and Pulis cant do that im sorry!

Hence we picked up the majority of our 30 points. i get what your saying and i agree to some extent, in the 1st half we still watched hoofball tho............. its only against the boltons, west broms etc that we are 'attacking'. Take tonight, (ok we got the 3games in 7days) the tactics were shocking, if he's expecting to lose why the fuck not lose fighting and having a go, so wot if we lost 5-0 at least he can say we went for it, i doubt most fans wouldnt of been too disappointed if this was the case,

Look on the bright side....Mamas almost fit!!....he'll walk straight into the team....god help us !! Never been a huge TP fan but i'm really starting to lose interest at the moment...had a season ticket for 30 years but i genuinely dont think i'll bother next year...it'll kill me but it's just crap to watch. Me and my lad have season tickets and every home game i spend £50...coach / pub / food....conna afford to spend it and get depressed by the football ... i'm sooooo brassed off !!!
