So who has impressed you so far? Lets stay away from players we know who have been good and we stand no chance of getting.
For me there are a few names that stand out who I think would be good for Stoke, attainable and impressed me a lot.
Aaron Mokoena - South Africa Teko Modise - South Africa Giovani Dos Santos - Mexico Diego Perez - Uruguay Anthony Annan - Ghana Prince Tagoe - Ghana
I didn't watch Argentina v Nigeria or South Korea v Greece.
Sorry if this has been done before, not been on here for a few days!

South Africa's goalscorer Siphiwe Tshabalala impressed me aswell, not just for his great goal, but for his crossing abilities and ability to beat the full-back. Just a pity he's more left-sided, because we are crying out for pace on the right flank too. Still might be worth a punt though, the question is though, would he turn out to be another Demar Phillips?

Good Idea for a thread! Could we get it pinned during the World Cup so TP can have a flick through? ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/0m0lbCuTEBzaRn6f8QaM.gif) I liked the look of Siphiwe Tshabalala & Giovani Dos Santos as well.

We could do worse than replace Lawrence with Modise.

Lee Young Pyo. Thought he was excellent, and has Premier League experience with Spurs as well.

The Nigerian 'keeper had a great game but it's a dangerous game basing an opinion on a player on one game. I'd love to see more of him though because his shot stopping was outstanding. How he deals with crosses is the key though as most modern 'keepers are excellent shot stoppers.
Vorsah impressed me today as did Mensah.

I agree about Vorsah, I hope we pursue our alleged interest in him. The question is though, how would Tone use him? He's a defensive minded midfielder who can also play at centre-back, he's not really the creative alternative we need in the centre. Still worth bringing in though for the right price.

The Nigerian goalie. Annan of Ghana. Asamoah Gyan of Ghana. The other Park from South Korea (Park Ji-Jung?).

Nobody is protecting the defence better than Annan! Told you, didn't I?! ;D I've also seen some right and left midfielders that could do a decent job for us so far (don't remember the names though ![:-[](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/fwGSRilBFZwfei5Q6XIp.gif) ).

I don't think it is a waste of money because You can't judge someone as good on the tv I don't think. I hate watching football on the tv.

Siphiwe Tshabalala - South Africa - looked dangerous whenever he got the ball against Mexico and took his goal superbly
Jeremy Toulalan - France - the only thing worth mentioning about the France v Uruguay game was his performance. it was nothing flash but he worked hard and broke up play very well
Vincent Enyeama - Nigeria - played very well against Argentina, making some pretty good saves
Jozy Altidore - USA
Nadir Belhadj - Algeria
Mesut Ozil - Germany Philipp Lahm - Germany
