Hansen says the Diao tackle was a stone wall pen, but if you watch carefully you clearly see Diao touches the ball with his toe.

When Hnasen was defending would he have said it was a pen?No. It's very easy to make conclusions from the sofa.

I think the ref nailed it. Good decision.

You clearly see the ball deviate, he got a toe to it . watch it again then go and have your eyes tested

I'm more inclined to say it wasn't a penalty than say it was, and I think had it been at the other end of the pitch, I wouldn't be annoyed at all that it wasn't given.

I just cannot believe that people are calling this a penalty. I am willing to say that we were lucky in matches, if we were or we got away with something, etc, but I feel strongly that the ref got this right. Good call.

It wasn't a penalty, it was an immaculate tackle and an exemplary piece of refereeing.

I actually think Diao was lucky to get away with it though, it LOOKED a stone wall pen, but in slow-mo you clearly see the ball deviate from diaos slight toe .

Ahhh slow mo bollocks. So in real life, it's a pen! * *if it was awarded! ;D

Post by serpico on Oct 24, 2009 22:16:39 GMT
No, but it could easily have been given, due to the slightness of the touch, but there was definitely a touch, whichever way you look at it
