Yes we got well beaten tonight but lets not over react.
Pompey played a stronger side than us and for me this was always on the cards. I'm afraid that as in the england international friendlies the squad players never raise there games as everyone expects because what ever ayone says players hearts just aren't in it. Smaller crowds, lack of importance in comparrison to the premiership and in the case today lack of quality in defence cost us dearly. Cort (not good enough), Higgy (playing in a now unfamiliour position with a unfamiliour partner), Pugh (out of position), Griffin (too slow). I'm sure that if you put Whelo, liam, tuncay or Kits in on Saturday to a full strength side you'd see a vastly different performance. One things for sure it shows what a key signing Huth was should something happen to Abdy or Ryan also good to see arismendi playing and putting in what sounded like a decent showing.

I'm not I would have settled for beating Spurs and losing to Pompey prior to last Saturday. Tonights result really isn't the end of the world. We'll bounce back and wont have to worry about any more long midweek trips.

I'm not. The defence is not what we would be playing with against anyone, other than in a Mickey Mouse Cup. When the boys come out and play on Saturday normal service will be resumed

Not me. Didn't expect anything from this match. Glad we're out but not particularly happy to lose four goals. However, it does show that we have a weak second string defensively and TP should be working on this. Saturday is vital, tonight was not.

From day 1 i knew we would loose this.I couldn't give a shite about this result really as this is not the side that will play next Saturday so we shouldn't be too concerned being as the team wasn't.
