The bloke who said Ennis is sticking to his story. He seems a bit Marmitey amongst their fans but notice he was the first to mention the McGuire farce last night

Problem with Ennis seems his injury record, and it was the same at Plymouth. Would make it a massive gamble if there's anything in it and it's permanent.
-- Ennis has been handed a series of setbacks. He arrived at the club with a groin injury, then picked up a knee complaint before suffering a hamstring issue in a recent Under-21s match. All of that has meant he's spent more time in the gym than at Ewood Park. --

I can see the logic if it's Ennis. For whatever reason, Blackburn get rid of someone they don't want, who they've currently got committed for 4 years, having brought in McGuire. We get a cheap, albeit largely unplanned option the manager rates to try and shake the forward line up. He's zero on their books, so if we can get him for significantly less than £1m, seems a fair enough punt as someone who won't be on megabucks and we'll still look to bring in another striker in the summer If it's "as well as" rather than a "replacement for" one of the main striking options, I can see the logic. If it's to replace Mmaee/Campbell then it's a big risk for someone with no record at this level. Yeah, that's fair... not sure how replacing Mmaee with him would advance things particularly - unless Mmaee is a bad apple and we just want to cut bait But, equally, not sure we'd be massively worse off if that is how things pan out. Anyway, the entire link may be bull!

Doesn't fit the foreign market rhetoric from earlier but I suppose things happen quickly on deadline day. He's not really a centre forward per se so is he a third player? www.transfermarkt.co.uk/niall-ennis/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/369171He's listed as one on here. He played in a front 2 last season though, didn't he? Not sure he's a line-leader? Very good numbers last season on a per-minute basis. And only played 300 minutes this season, so not much to go on

He hasn't done well this season, but he was viewed as a "shrewd" free transfer signing by a few people in the summer, comin off a decent season at Plymouth
Not one to get the pulses racing, but as a cheap one to shake the forward line up that the coaching staff know, you can see it

Strange the name of the striker we want hasn't emerged. It'll have to come out soon if we want to get it done, you'd think. Do you have any ideas FM? No - it's a magical mystery tour these days Most of our deals just spring up from nowhere, don't they? I hadn't even heard of Million until last night!

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-transfer-deadline-day-live-9069646Stoke are hoping to clinch two deals before the 11pm deadline. Million Manhoef is expected to be the first, a 22-year-old left-footed right winger coming in from cash-strapped Vitesse Arnhem, and Stoke are also hoping to beat the clock to bring in a centre-forward.Outgoings seems to remain in flux. Stoke are already topping out their senior squad size so an exit or two for players who might suddenly see themselves down the pecking order isn't ruled out.

If we really are accepting loans with options from tiny, relegation-threatened Turkish teams for someone who in all likelihood will end up starting most of the remaining games for us, it doesn't seem an optimal situation regarding a.) our attacking depth and b.) Mmaee's motivation, should we not manage to bring a striker in

Million Manhoef boarded a plane with his supervisors this morning to complete his transfer to Stoke City. The transfer of 4 million euros is Vitesse's biggest since the sale of Vyacheslav Karavaev for 8 million in the summer window of 2019.

Manhoef is 179cm long and weighs 71kg. It is built quite slender with a strong upper body and broad shoulders. Due to its low center of gravity, it can rotate very easily and knows how to change direction quite easily at high speed. It has a decent speed in both the long and short distances and has a very high acceleration capacity. He also manages to maintain this tempo well at the ball and is also able to keep this up for a whole game. Manhoef is left-legged and uses his right leg relatively little. Player profile: tactical In recent seasons, Manhoef played in various positions in various formations. For example, in the past he played as a striker or left wingback in a 5–3–2 formation or left winger in a 4–2–3–1 formation. This season, he plays almost all of his games as right winger in a 4–2–3–1 formation. Although Manhoef is very flexible, I think it comes into its own in a 4–3–3 or 4–2–3–1 formation as left or right winger. Player profile: playing style Fast, agile player. Plays with confidence at a rapid pace. Likes to look up the 1v1. He often waits for the defensive action of the opponent to determine his passing moment. Almost always pulls towards his left leg and then chooses a shot, early cross or (stitch) pass. Loves to put a player in the 16. Loves attempts from a distance. Defensively active and also has the stamina to play for a high-pressure team. Uses strong upper body to remain in possession of the ball. Very one-legged which can make it predictable. However, his explosiveness makes it difficult to defend him. Good kick in left leg, can take care of game repairs. Player profile: data To get an idea of Manhoef's performance against other outdoor players and attacking midfielders in similar competitions, I added two radarcharts. This is because Vitesse's performance has deteriorated dramatically this season and this can affect Manhoef's way of playing and performance. The first radar chart is about the 22/23 season and the other about season 23/24. Let's zoom in on this a little further. First of all, the figures from his previous season. Manhoef scored very well on his goal-orientedness. As mentioned, he likes a shot towards goal and that is clearly visible in the graph. With 3.1 shots per 90 / minutes, he is one of the most trigger-happy players. However, his shots are of a fairly low quality (0.08 xG per shot). Manhoef likes to shoot from a distance and these attempts naturally have the lowest xG value. Still, he was at the top with 9 goals in the field of non-penalty goals. This is all clearly visible in the graphic below. 43 of the 97 shots came from outside the sixteen-meter area. From this, 37% ended up on the goal and none resulted in a goal. In creating opportunities for himself and others, he also scored well above average in that season. There is room for improvement in his pass accuracy and ball loss in general. With 13.1 ball loss per 90 minutes, Manhoef is among the worst performing players in this specific area. The same can be said about its pass accuracy of 66.8 percent. In addition, his defensive activity was low with only 1.4 interceptions / tackles per 90 minutes. If we now look at his radar chart of the current season, we see a number of differences and a number of similarities with the past season. For example, Manhoef is still a trigger-happy player with a very low xG per shot. However, he continues to score above average goals, although this is now a fraction lower than last season. His accuracy with the ball is also still low. Its high number of gymnasts per 90 minutes seems to be a problem. In addition, his pass accuracy has improved slightly but is still below average. This season, Manhoef has no assist to his name, despite creating 0.16 xA per 90 minutes. The biggest positive change lies in his even higher number of successful dribbles and the number of shots created for himself. Perhaps this has something to do with the lower quality of its fellow players and the fact that the team is more dependent on Manhoef's qualities. Greatest qualities Dribble Manhoef is able to engage multiple defenders with his technique and agility. He keeps the ball close to him and is able to pass defenders due to his explosiveness. With its speed and qualities 1v1, it is also a very dangerous player for the switch. Based on the number of dribbles per 90 minutes and the percentage of successful dribbles, he is one of the top in Europe this season. Not bad when you play for a relegation candidate, right? 2. Vision in final third Due to his good dribble, Manhoef often ends up around the enemy sixteen-meter area. An absolute quality of his is the fact that he manages to keep an excellent overview there. He sees movement of fellow players excellently, knows how to hide it with some regularity or to make room for the shot himself. Manhoef is therefore best to play together with a running, in-depth midfielder and / or cleverly running striker. An example: Improvement points 1. Weak leg As said before, Manhoef is quite one-legged. This makes it predictable in some cases. He often saves himself through his explosiveness, but at a higher level this will become more difficult. It is therefore important that he becomes less predictable. One of the ways to accomplish this is to develop the right leg and more often seek the action from the outside. Although it must be said that it makes sense to choose the way in as it is the fastest way to the goal. Variety will increase the quality of the cutting inwards! Wondering how often Manhoef dribbles towards his left leg? View the graphic below and focus on how often the black arrows point to the left. The same can be said about his diversity of shooting. Of course it makes sense that he shoots more with the left, but in this case it is quite out of balance. 2. Ball loss Manhoef belongs to the absolute top of the Eredivisie when it comes to losing the ball. Part of this can be explained by the fact that he dribbles so much. In general, many dribbles mean more ball loss. I do not think that this is the largest development point. This is mainly in his pass accuracy. Manhoef is often looking for the killer pass. Sometimes this succeeds and creates a scoring opportunity. But far too often this does not work and there was a simpler solution. Especially when he comes to play for a dominant team, a more conservative way of playing is important. Conclusion Million Manhoef is a promising winger. His 1 to 1 skill and speed gives his opponents a lot to think about and this can be decisive in different matches. However, there are still some points for improvement to take his game to the next level. Manhoef is very one-legged, making it a bit predictable in some cases, although his explosiveness compensates in many cases. However, this could become a problem at a higher level. In addition, his ball loss due to inaccurate passing is far too high at the moment. Certainly with dominant teams, he will have to play a bit more conservatively. I think Million Manhoef is a bargain for around 3 million euros. Although he may still be a bit raw now, he can definitely develop into a top-class winger for various teams in Europe.

Vitesse is going to cash for Million Manhoef. The attacker will transfer to Stoke City in the Championship for 4 million euros once the last obstacles have been removed. Palermo was also in the race, but Manhoef opted to continue his career in England.

Million Manhoef has passed the inspection at Stoke City and has signed a contract for 3.5 years with an additional year of option. Championship has proven to be a great stepping stone for many Dutch talents in recent years and Manhoef hopes to follow a similar route. January 31 10:12 PM چ www.espn.nl/voetbal/artikel/_/id/13008999/transferupdates-stoke-city-wint-strijd-om-handtekening-manhoef-ajax-en-twente-in-gesprek-over-salah-eddine 'Stoke City wins battle for Manhoef' signatureMillion Manhoef will leave Vitesse for more than four million euros, sources tell ESPN . Manhoef is said to be transferring to Stoke City, the current number nineteen of the Championship. The financial need is high in Arnhem. To complete this football year, Vitesse needs at least 5 million euros. Earlier today it was announced that Manhoef was also in the picture at PSV, but the people of Eindhoven have already dropped out.
