Everything Iām reading seems to be pointing massively to Russia in the ascendancy? Another few months and Kharkiv could be taken? Worrying if Russia keeps taking more and more land. No chance in the long term Putin just stops with Ukraine? Russian propaganda is all in on trying to persuade people that russia can't be stopped... but that's bullshit. I think journalists also tend to look a bit for Hollywood style drama, and russia advancing over some fields and bombing the shit out of new villages is very visual. The headlines usually forget to account for reality though. Since October, russia's taken ~0.1% more of Ukraine's land, and lost so many tanks that they'll have to empty 25% of their remaining storages to replace them. At this rate they'll run out of stored tanks and other mainline vehicles (like BMPs) after taking about 0.4% of Ukraine... The Republicans' pro-Putin blockade opened up a massive window for Putin, he's throwing everything in to exploit that and it's possible Ukraine will crack. There's too much fog of war to know for sure but I wouldn't be surprised if Ukraine has to retreat from a much bigger slice of land this summer, but will then stabilise things as replacement ammo and troops arrive. Yes but the flip side of that is western media was saying last summer that Russia was going to be driven out. Itās been clear to me since last summer that this has a stalemate all over it. Ukraine need to start bombing the shit out of targets in Russia to strengthen their position and bring some pain to the average Russian citizen. Where are these replacement Ukrainian troops coming from?

The language used in the social media is amusing. Fight Works hard Heās a frigging goalkeeper. Can he catch? š¤£ Noticed that as well, seems to know the right things to say. Iād have been happy with Iverson as he was getting better and better Hopefully he goes on to be a big hit (Viktor )

A real loss to the English game. I wouldnāt want to go for a beer with him he seems far too touchy feeley for my liking Iād end up snotting him but I love his attitude to the game, certainly my favourite domestic manager of the modern era and one of my favourite ever. Heās got something even Pep hasnāt - charisma. Bags of it. To the extent that if he was managing Arsenal, Iād probably want them to win the title tomorrow! I know nothing about this Slot guy taking over, never even heard him speak. But he has massive boots to fill and it might not be the best move in the world succeeding someone like Klopp. Steady on, fāing Arsenal winning the title, you what nowā¦

No idea whatās gone on here, or even if anything at all has gone and other than our physio wanted a new gig. However, one absolute pet hate of mine is managers needing to bring in a whole host of back room staff when they take a job. One or two, fine no worries, certainly an assistant. But the rest of them? They seem to get replaced constantly but the managers mates. Itās the managers job to come in and manage the club, not just the playing squad. Unless they are incompetent then this weird nepotism should stop, especially when we are paying compensation. Itās also no use at all to us when 12 months later the manager is fired and we start all over again. Would the physio be on the books and due compo or would they be self employed?

Do Irish players qualify as English regulars for this purpose? I was today years old when I found out Travers was Irish and Rose is Scottish. Isnāt Bonham Irish too?

analyticsfc.co.uk/blog/2023/06/21/introducing-esc-the-new-gbe-guidance-opens-up-recruitment-post-brexit/Looks like it's a max of 4 at any one time. And based on who we think were the wild cards.... Bae and Burger's seasons seem to mean that they no longer have to take up a wild card slot in 24/25 as they're now qualified through getting 15+ points on the checklist due to their Championship appearances. And with Wes gone, that leaves just Jojic. So we could potentially have 3 more slots if 35% of our team minutes have gone to English-qualified players (which may be a bit of a stretch given our lack of English-qualified players?) That reduces to a maximum 3 for 30%, 2 for 25% and 1 for 20% Who are our English regulars Travers? Bonham? Rose? McNally?. Wilmot, Laurent, Pearson, Campbell struggling to think of any more whoāve played significant minutes so we might be looking at only 1. Do Irish players qualify as English regulars for this purpose?

Of those 3 Iāll be terrible disappointed to see Ty leave, think we are making a mistake. The other 2 not so muchā¦ I like Ty as well but do think itās the right time for both him and us for him to depart. Iād have liked us to give him another year (with an option for us to renew for one more) Iāve a feeling heāll be back to his best next season.

Little bit surprised it seems to be our call not to offer him anything meaningful. But probably not the worst call for either party. Potentially would have taken a sizeable salary offer (although maybe less than what he's been on for the last 4 yrs) to compete with the Bosman offers he knows he could get, and maybe it's time we try and go all-in on a new main man who'll be starting the bulk of games. Maybe the chances of Stansfield have gone up with Birmingham's demise Post match, Schumacher said āwhen he plays properlyā¦ā I think this call is the managers and he simply doesnāt trust him and what heāll offer consistently. Heāll be one of the biggest earners and I think they probably feel heās worth sacrificing. I wouldnāt be at all surprised to see the triumvirate of Campbell, Laurent and Baker smashed to pieces this summer. Big characters, popular lads but perhaps not serious enough in the way they go about their daily business for Schumacher?? Of those 3 Iāll be terrible disappointed to see Ty leave, think we are making a mistake. The other 2 not so muchā¦

They sack Eustace who was doing OK. Replace him with a glamour manager that suits the project. Try to raise the profile of the club by getting Tom Brady involved to give validity to the project. Then get relegated. Couldnāt have happened to nicer bunch of chancers. Didnāt they do something with Zola and that wants tits up to?

What would be the point in playing people that will be here next season? Is that a serious question? Of course it is. Playing one game in a dead rubber would make little or no difference in my opinion. Therefore just keep the team unchanged. I don't know what you have seen in your crystal ball that makes you form a different opinion but you are entitled to it. Heās not wrong though is he. Sidibe is our player and a promising young player might be good all round if he started on Saturday If some of our recent starters are not here next season itās a no brainer
