Realistic and with FFP in mind, who should Stoke be looking at in the Summer? I hear Dutch players are pretty good at the moment!

Yup more Dutchies!
McNally, Hoever, Iversen and Cundle all worth considering at least even if loans again
Can't see Kompany playing McNally
Obviously left back and obviously a striker

Travers/Iversen or any other decent 1st choice keeper Asante or another CF CB Left Back Renew Hoever's loan as will be too expensive to buy Cundle make permanent

Based on today's performance I hope SS doesn't go back to Plymouth and buy half their team.
I also hope SJW doesn't import half of his favourite Everton. Despite their indifferent form, they have good players, and they would probably wreck our wage structure completely, leading to years of financial instability.
I also hope we don't buy players that are no better than those - for some finally - that came through for us in the final weeks. I keep reading we should get rid of Stevens, but I'd offer him another year.
Who we do buy, well it'll still depend on which division we're in, but there are no obvious names that come to mind for someone like me who only follows Stoke these days.
I'd like us to return to continuity, not to this endless comings and goings we've seen.

Assuming we can get McNally and Stevens back for another year the only desperate gaps in the squad seem to be a keeper and a left back.
I’m guessing most of us would be happy with Travers if we can get him back. He got promoted with Bournemouth and didn’t seem to pick up too many haters while he was here… an impressive enough feat in itself in recent years!
Burrows from Peterborough might be optimistic. But given he’s racked up several goals and a lot of assists from left back it seems worth enquiring on the off chance nobody more appealing has gone in for him yet.
After that, I just hope we go for quality over quantity. We’ve got some players that have at least shown us glimpses of being good players at this level. If I was being greedy a quality centre back, attacking mid (maybe even Cundle after these last two weeks!) and a striker would make such a difference.
I just worry we’re going to panic and go on a mad recruiting spree, when I think a little bit of continuity would be far more beneficial to us.

As usual we require a keeper, 2 centre backs, 2 full backs and 2 strikers. Rinse and repeat

I’d try and keep Campbell for sure and replace Wesley with BTA Campbell?!? He was excellent today, but is a 1 game in 10 man. As much as I enjoyed watching him today, I’ll be glad to see the back of him.

Cundle
Hoever Either Stansfield or Whittaker. I'd love adam armstrong but hes wayyy to good to come to us.
Someone like Greaves. Leif Davis or Luke Thomas at LB.
Maybe a new midfielder like Buckley? Grimes? Hayden Hackney?

Jaysus. We need new strikers, midfielders, centre backs. Backup for tchamadeau, new lbx2, 2 new cb, centre midx1 at least. 2 new wingers

An experienced centre half. Make him captain. Someone like Craig Dawson or Johnny Evans. A player who’s coming towards the end but still more than good enough for the championship.

Of the loans - maybe Iversen. I wouldn’t be surprised if we signed Cundle and shipped out Laurent and Baker.
We need a left back, two central defenders, a left attacking midfielder (if Bae is moving inside) and a striker. Alongside a new goalkeeper, we are looking at needing 6 or so first teamers.

As always, you have to get the balance right. I’m all for exciting signings, but also happy with some steady heads with experience because you need them. I have no clue as to who Schumacher will have identified as targets - imagine he might have a delve into Plymouth but they were really poor today. Mumba would give plenty of pace from a wide area, but wouldn’t want any of their defenders.

Travers Junior / Hoever Rose / Wilmot New dominant CB (a leader) new LB (guy from Posh) / Stevens Burger / Thompson New DM / Pearson Cundle / new AM Manhoef / new cover Assante or Whittaker / Mmaee Bae / new cover After a good loan last season, Whittaker has scored 19 this year and has 8 assists. He’s 23. We won’t be able to afford him. He’ll probably end up on the bench for someone like Ipswich in the PL next season.
