Its enjoyable attending non league games. No need to book match or rail tickets in advance,no fret at not winning and good banter. In our neck of the woods we've been watching the best team in Bradford (Park Avenue), the best in Leeds (Guiseley or Farsley!), and also Pontefract. Even met a Stoke fan at a Guiseley game!

Rip Ray. He supported the best team in nearby Bradford - Park Avenue!

So is that 500 in the big Rangers and Celtic grounds and also 500 at the much smaller Albion Rovers, Cowdenbeath etc? 🤔

Well done Leeds, keeping the shiteh down to 7 goals. Stoke still hold your highest defeat record! 😁

Saw them a few times in West Yorkshire and they often stayed in a pub in my town when in the area.

Plenty of Boro, mainly middle aged on our trains from/to Leeds via Manchester and they were ok with the 3 of us. Something kicked off in Leeds station though involving some disembarking from the Manch to Redcar train but doubt it would be Boro.

Wonder if they'll put one of the Steptoe and sons Christmas specials on where Albert sings "Enochs dreaming of a white Christmas"? If they do that will deffo be missed out. There is also an older episode where Albert says a blokes a puff, even though Wilfred Bramble was one, a homosexual. Tamsin Greig of the excellent Friday Night dinner has spoke of whether it was right for her, a non Jew, playing one! Its called acting.

The government wouldn’t give a fuck if that was the case In fact they’d be ecstatic less people were mixing You think they give a shit? This is about deflecting from the party. It’s fuck all to do with covid. I'm peed off with this too but some European countries have tightened stuff so it can't all be blamed on the torys!

Still get the Ringtons delivery man round our way (Yorkshire). Bit expensive and not that great so went to Tetleys. Won't bother with Yorkshire tea seeing as they pulled the backing of Yorkshire ccc.

We spoke to Charlie Charlie Adam at Blackpool zoo just after his move to Reading, Nigel Worthington shopping in Leeds, and Ian Rush on the cable car at Alton Towers! And my hero Gordon Banks at the Birmingham superprix motor racing meeting circa 1990.

I wouldn't disagree, the main point is his racist comments should not, as I fear they may, be used as somehow weakening his complaints. Absolutely, and in fairness to Rafiq he's always said he doesn't want it to be about individuals rather than seeing the changes required going forward. That's ultimately what should come out of this..... He named individuals though!

Jesus mate you really are a simpleton! What do you want? Some video and microphone footage from inside the cab? How on Earth you can think this is fake is beyond words. Really, why would you say that? Is this media not well known for false flag events Terrorist denier are you?

We should have stuck to the born in Yorkshire rule. Neither would have created a problem then! There's plenty of threads on this messageboard where xenophobia and mild racism is engaged in on a regular basis; do us all a favour and go and spout off on them instead. The Winter Cricket Thread is sacred. Yes, Stoke on Trent, the liberal capital of England. I'm xenophobic over being Yorkshire then!

Heads need to roll, it’s been a disgrace. Love going to Headingley but I won’t give them another penny until there is some acceptable resolution to this. A couple of pals from Leeds who are members are looking to cancel with immediate affect as are hundreds of others. It’s a shame it has to be that way but they’ll no doubt change their mind when it effects their bank balance……. The heads need to roll statement us rather offensive but no one will get upset about that!

that’s a bigger and more concerning worry for me. Too right, far better to have a sexual predator in the building than someone who is left wing…… I think they mean many teachers are trying to politically influence rather than the odd bad egg copper or teacher that is a sexual predator.

Well I’ll start with Eric Gates followed by Terry Curren after he threw a ball at a kid if I remember. More recently Bircham at QPR and the whole of the Bournemouth team. Anyone raise that list ? Can't recall the Curran incident, if i'd known i'd have told him off as he and his brother ran a rather rough nightclub in my home town!

Not alone in Stoke being a dead hole. In my nearby Bradford its the same apart from resembling a Grand Prix, but with more crashes than this seasons F1! Sheffield, where I went the other week is another place building up seemingly doing well.

Ok, summer’s gone but the cricket goes on. Well, hopefully. This thread could be a lot shorter if we choose to add Australia to our no-tour list. Anyway, first up is the T20 World Cup which kicks off in just 12 days on the 17th October with a Super Sunday double header opening up with Oman v Papua New Guinea followed by Scotland v Bangladesh. We have to wait to the 23rd for England’s opening game against the WIndies. I see the squad was announced yesterday with no real surprises. The surprise came today, and will be a source of great delight to one of our regular cricket posters. Unfortunately Sam Curran is out, which means his bro’ is in. Welcome back Tom. To the detriment of the longer game.
