I've only heard positive reviews about the Brit from people outside of Stoke. Some of my family who went the Victoria Ground say the Brit is nowhere near as good. Personally, I think it looks brilliant on the outside, but a little basic inside. Too many adverts and no uniqueness. Its certainly not the worst Stadium in the Prem!

Remember this time last season? We played QPR with 4 strikers starting, and came away with either a single shot on target, or none at all. Hopefully things will be different this time . I can see Crouch starting.. 1-1 for me.

Surely the biggest pile of shite in the league? Such a 1960s monstrosity, then there's the other sheddy meccano stands. The place is an embarassment. Looking at that photo, I wouldn't be surprised if I saw Dave Brent looking out of one of the windows. Ignoring the massive sign, its doesn't look anything like a stadium. David Brent is at Anfield ;)

I really can't see Kenwyne arguing. He seems way too laid back for it.

The only real moment where I feel we've been unlucky was Shottons red card at Aston Villa. But even that was in the last minutes and had no impact. Everything else we've deserved. If anything we've had quite a bit of luck!

A bit of magic helped Villa to get 3 points away. Hopefully Wilko will score a goal like it on Saturday :).

I do believe strangeways actually is a United fan, been around, and could actually be half-decent, whereas the other lad hasn't a clue. But strangeways lets himself down a bit today. As most on here know, health problems stopped me gong today, but atmosphere is not about singing and singing alone. It's about the general din, the background noise etc, not pithy, self-loving we're-dead-clever-making-songs-up-and-sell-cds-of-them like United. There was a real din today made by Stoke on the box. Yes, our repertoire is poor, but we then don't have supporters who make money on inventing dead witty songs and doing concert tours, do we? Now THAT is cringy. You could hear United singing their million ace songs at certain stages of the game (not hard to do when you're 1-0 up away from home after 3 mins), but I have never in 37 years, been to OT and heard a din, never. And I know it's little old Stoke but strangeways, being so clued up, knows that this is true in all but a few matches per season. That's how it is. That's not point scoring, just an observation that even when we don't sing, The Brit still has a loudness to it (mainly moans!!!). Losing my dad at the Fulham game is my first real taste of death, and grief is a strange beast. Some clap, some cry, some write crap articles like me, but its still humanity. Humanity does not mock death in any way, shape or form. If I was a United fan I'd have wobbled my head in the 15th minute, just as I did when I heard the riposte from some Stokies. IMHO, the United chant was aimed at the applause, not the roar afterwards. Anyway, its splitting hairs, why not have a bit of class and sing about Ralph Milne or summat instead of maybe looking for a rise? United looking for a rise, eh? Well, last few years any number of United's away fans have been giving airplane arms when there has been no hint of any of that Munich crap (and that's what it truly is folks, it's an embarrassment when that is ever sung by anyone) looking for a rise. Today saw two classless acts. No moral high ground can be claimed and neither should it be wanted. Football lost a tiny chunk of its class, its humanity and soul again today, and I know for a fact that my dear old man bless his soul would have had a go at United fans in the 15th minute, and then fellow Stokies in the 16th minute. It's called standards. Top post. *applauds*

Yet you cunts are happy to sing about Hillsbrough and spend your giro on Galataseray shirts when you play leeds? Who's that dying at Hillsborough... A classic song by us isn't it ? (question) We never sing about Hillsborough, Heysel yes but not the other. As for leeds. well they have rammed Munich down our throats for decades, Nobody can deny that. So karma has fucked them hasn't it ? Lets hope you don't believe in Karma ey ? Oh and hands up, Who sang "Stand up if you hate man u" So much for us being obsessed, You fucking sing about us actually at games :D We were playing AGAINST you, you fucking idiot. You think we sing it when playing other teams? Obsession involves stalking another teams message board waiting for you to be mentioned.

We should set out to win every game without relying on others. Look for (and hopefully get) wins under our belts, any teams failing around us should simply be a bonus.

Spot on! Hypocrisy at it's finest. I don't recall the Busby Babes ruining this country's manufacturing base, destroying organised labour, promoting a culture of selfish individualism, supporting apartheid, deregulating the City, or hanging out with dictators and war criminals but other than that yes you have a point. Theres a thread for this on the "everything else" part of the board ;).

To be fair at the time, it seemed they were chanting about our applause (which was done quite well in my opinion, considering it wasn't officially planned) It was obvious the chants only came because it was assumed they were mocking our tribute.
If anything, it shows that a few posters on here are bob on about these facebook led applauds. Leave it until the last home game of the year where we have a moment dedicated lost. Not only does everybody know what they're clapping for but we don't get moments like today!

I thought you UTD lads went where you wanted and took all comers on. We did when it mattered and football wasn't as soft as it is now. Hence your jealousy and hatred for us Jealousy and hatred? Never have I been jealous of United. I pity the real fans who have always been there seeing their football club turned into a tourist attraction. I've got nothing really against the team itself, but I despise the idiotic glory hunting fans United have. Get the fuck off this message board.

When I realised Margaret Thatcher was dead, I did a double fist pump and shouted, "Fucking brilliant!"
Everyone around me was disgusted, and looking back, I suppose it was out of order.
Especially as I was the first paramedic at the scene.

It really is a strange feeling to feel so pessimistic about next season before the end of this one. At the moment I'm in a "who cares about this season, nothing will change" mood. The thought of relegation and STILL no change of manager depresses me so much
