The Brit?? Characterless concrete building on the top of a wasteland. Give me a traditional stadium like The Hawthorns, Upton Park and Carrow Road every time. Even the new stadiums like Swansea's, Southampton's and Reading make ours look like a cheap foreigner!!

You can have the Boleyn Ground when West Ham go into the Olympic Stadium, if you like?

Give me the Brit over Loftus Road or Goodison anyday. The one thing that those grounds have though is history and nostalgia. I hate all new stadiums an ours is a piss poor effort all round really. Give me am old fashioned football ground any day of the week, regardless of facilities or views etc.

Can't say I am thrilled by Craven Cottage, some decent boozers close by and a crackin statue and thats about it. Also never seen us win there and once got drenched in the open end at a night match. Ruined my Armani suit!

The Britannia Stadium is the greatest football stadium in the world.
It must be because it's where my beloved football team Stoke City play.
Simples.

Loftus road looks like a hospital from the outside. Carrow road is marred by the hotel in one of its corners. Goodison is like a greyhound stadium from the 70's, run down and wooden, the Hawthornes is like a screwfix metal warehouse with an almost dangerously small away end concourse. Anfield has a crap view if you're too far up and being sat slap bang in the middle of a terrace housing estate is a little awkward.
The emirates is beautiful but designed to house people used to comfort and polite applause...
The Britannia.. Yes it's a flat pack stadium but I think the main entrance outside q-railing is rather stunning..
It may be a bit of a shit-hole but hey! It's OUR shit-hole

Old grounds are the best. I love Turf Moor snd the old Leeds Road. Leeds road. The first ground outside of the midlands that i went to with stoke. The open terrace i remember. Must have been about 86 maybe, went blackburn and huddersfield whereas before it was wba, wolves, shrewsbury etc. Stepping it up. As for the brit, always thought it was a souless pit on top of a hill but being in the premiership and suddenly becoming a force again changed it, for the better.

Todays rope contains too much synthetic material. In the olden days rope consisted of hemp and cotton, nowadays it's all polypropylene and shit like that. The modern world eh?
