those pits that were costing us millions a week in taxes and a country run by unions, glad she had the bottle to do it; we'd be even worse off than zimbabwe if the militant unions had kept on going. don't you remeber the 3 day week and nighst without power Mumf FFS I remember the mortgage rate flying up to fifteen percent, people being chucked out of their homes and jobs right left and center and riots in the streets much more clearly. All done to the tune of a tiny percentage of people getting fat on the back of it all. I also remember the cunt Norman Lamont blaming everyone else for his ineptitude and John Major blaming Norman Lamont for his ineptitude. I recall being thankful I resisted putting a brick through my television every time the witch of Grantham appeared with her fucking Victorian values. Ah memories. More the pity that folk who should know better actually want them back with a one dimensional empty vessel as leader. I remember the mortgage rate dropping down to half a percent, and people being chucked out of their homes and jobs right left and centre going, pensions being robbed, savings useless, all done thanks to the votes of a huge percentage of fat unregulated bank people that was only a year ago , led by two liars (who sent us into an illegal war) People who get their head down and work hard, and not going on strike if the coffee went up 1p in the machine, getting stuffed left right and chelsea.

The fundamental problem that Thatcherites tend to face is quite simply this. You can state an opinion as much as you want. You can even interpret history to suit the cause. But you cannot change what people went through, you cannot alter what they fought for and believed in and moreover tell them that what they lost under Thatcher was "for the greater good". And despite what some think of the lower orders - they always remember when they get hurt and who does the hurting.

Even the forces wives were striking under labour owing to the forces receiving worse pay than binmen Maggie came in and gave them a 10% pay rise and then sent em off to beat an army 5 times greater 8,000 miles away, without the yanks forces, what a leader

Ah yes the other ileegal war..... ;D illegal? they invaded our territory and held British citizens hostage Technically the Falkland Islands were and still are to this day illegally occupied by Britain, we just happened to nick them when Argentina was in no state to stop us (after the collapse of the spanish empire). Negotiations over their sovereignty had been going on for years, before the invasion en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sovereignty_of_the_Falkland_Islands

John Davis the English explorer first encountered them in the 1500's, so we claimed them first I think.

Ok, sorry she didn't stop the Miners going on strike I have no idea what you mean by that. The miners held out through the "bitter winter months while she organised imported coal. Hundreds of Police officers paid off their mortgages during that strike thanks to the overtime they got, thousands of Miners lost theirs. Does that seem right to you?
