Right, the scene is set. We remain in the premiership, imagine PC tells TP that he has £30M to spend on (roughly) 6x£5M players - 1 goalkeeper, 2 defenders, 2 midfielders, and 1 forward.
Who would you like to see us target, players who may realistically sign?

IF we stay up (still a big IF) realistically
GK - Lewis (peterborough) LB - Shorey (Villa) RB - Kelly (Birmingham) CM - N`Daw (Nantes) CM - Ledley (Cardiff) CM - O Neill (Boro) CF - Benjani (Man City)
and a really quick, dynamic right side midfielder as well would do nicely

Do you think Joe Hart would be a realistic target? Is he going to be content playing second fiddle to Given?

Guirane N`Daw is a midfielder who we nearly signed from Socheux last summer, he opted to stay in france and sign for Nantes instead. He`s a really strong CM player, bit like a better version of Amdy Faye, Senegal (?) international, and a top player. By some accounts, we have verbaly agreed a fee and terms to bring him to stoke in summer if we stay in the Prem.

reckon a few would want away from Newcastle, picking the diamonds out of that ruff would be tough. I always feel many are there for the money Duff, MArtins, Owen, Smith, Butt etc and wouldn't have the right attitude for our club. The ones that would are the true Geordie lads but I doubt they would leave with their loyalties

we should definitely raid the Boro / Newcastle teams when they go down! Obafemi Martins and Micheal Owen please ;D
Seriously though, I'd love us to go for Tuncay, think we might possibly get "blown out of the water" on that one though. Wheater anyone?
And definitely big big money on a class attacking midfield player.

Sol Campbell? Not a forward looking move surely, can't have more than one season left. Would much prefer to see us sign Wheater from Boro if we are in the market for another centre back.

think we may be pleasently suprised of he quality of player that will be willing to come to stoke following all the good press lately about the club.

I'd like to see us sign a couple of centre mids(O'Neill and Sean Davis would do for me) a proper left back (Belhadj if Pompey go down maybe?) and another striker (Frasier Campbell?)

Mate, nobody in their right mind who's first choice at Wigan is going to leave a club that's just had a great season of consolidation, and will be looking to Europe (they might even get their this season) for a team that's just about managed to stay up. Looking at it objectively.

o.k maybe i'm getting a bit too ambitious with kirkland but thats how we have to think if we are to better ourselves... failing getting kirkland it'd be rob green for me, good goalkeeper and he likes stoke i remember when he was at norwich was it a couple of seasons ago???? after the game he took the time to give the boothen end a good round of applause

Depending on how West Ham sort out their finances, they may be willing to offload players
