3-0 down, who knows what the final score will be. This had been coming. Man City are vunerable at the back and we are still getting battered. We look poor, slow, disorganised and basically, shit. The difference between us and our friends in the north, Hull, is massive. They play with confidence, authority and dont look they are shitting themselvrs everytime the opposition get the ball. We are out of our depth and we look down and out. Home form is crucial and we aint done bad but we have to be more competitive away. We are just getting twatted. Fucking pissed off.

Yawn.
Gain a bit of perspective please.
We're getting beaten courtesy of a £30 million player. We haven't disgraced ourselves - we've had opportunities to get ourselves back in it at 1-0 and failed to take them.
We have to be more ruthless and clinical.
The pace and potency of their forward line was always going to mean getting back into it would be a difficult task and one that will invariably offer them opportunities.
All in all, it is a pretty cuntish response to a performance that hasn't been terrible. Positives can be drawn, certainly.

We are embarrassingly inept atm. "Not closing the ball down well enough", "not playing with tempo", "hesitating", "not holding on to the ball", "not breaking in numbers" ... we've been here before, and its not good.
If Hull and WBA can give it a good go, so should we - Pulis, you're embarrassing us.

ffs we dont need these negative cnuts, i thought we have played fairly well in midfield, theyre pace have killed us, we had a few chances and if we had took one before there second perhaps we would have got something, nevermind lets face it they beat pompy 6-0

Exactly Glass Knees...totally, 100% smack bang on.
It's almost laughable to compare us to a team with a £30million Brazillian wonder player.
We knew we'd get some beatings like this.
We've been here for less than 10 games, we're still learning and I'm fairly happy with how we're doing.
What would you be doing different then, Fabio? Sorry I mean SGS.
Oh and why did he take Soares off? Probably saving him for Sunderland.

Unless he was injured, if so I apologise.

But all this about we aint disgraced ourselves and we done fairly well doesnt put points on the board does it. So getting beat 3-0 by a mediocre Man City side is good is it. Not in my eyes.

They were comfortably the better team and deserve their win. However, looking at the display as a whole I feel we weren't all that bad. We could and should have scored at 1-0 down. Conceding as early as we did was always going to be the path to an almost certain defeat. City's potency and pace was always going to be difficult to contend with - even more so when we are chasing the game and giving them plenty of space. Weds is must win, but I think I've seen enough to suggest we could do something - providing we eradicate the mistakes made to then allow the opposition to gain the initiative and therefore mean we are chasing the game.

Alot of fans seem to think it's a privilidge to play in this league more than our right too. We seem to get in the trend of well they have so and so, playing for them, we're 3-0 down but doing well.
Away from home we look a shambles and out our depth (excluding liverpool) home form is where our fate lies.
Disappointing day but Sunderland is now a must win.

A 3-0 trouncing is NOT a good result - we are as inept in many areas as we were at the start of the season. We need performances and results NOW.

Wasnt a great performance but hardly the disaster that you make it sound. We have to face the facts that these beatings are inevitable in this league but we had chances and must just try and sort ourselves out for the Sunderland match

And its our right to have a moan if we not happy with summat. Hull have spent less so if what everyone says is true abt wot players are worth then how come they actually win away matches as well as home games.

So every team we lose against this season we are going to use the same excuse as they have so and so and he cost x amount of millions.
If hope the players dont carry the same attitude or we're fucked already!

I just think it's harsh to compare us to a side who have just spent around £60m to top up their already mid-table Premiership squad.
As for Hull, god knows. They are VERY much the exception to the rule though. What would you be doing different?

I wish some of you had actually watched the game rather then 2nd hand opinions from the radio. Man City were immense today when going forward and not many teams if any could have coped with their pace and clinical finishing. We still harried them though and we actually played some very good stuff... just did not take our chances. Although we lost i still don't feel it was a bad performance and that having taken at least one of the chances would have changed the game....

I just watched the live stream from their 3rd goal onwards and we played pretty well actually. We had a number of chances,Kitson should have scored....then again so did Man City.
I'm not surprised we lost so I'm not too disappointed. Can't see us getting many points away so it's down to winning as many home matches as possible.

This was the same city team that couldn't beat 2nd bottom 10 man Newcastle.
Yet all of a sudden they are world beaters?
What pisses me off is that we have no intention of trying to win an away game until we are losing. We are lvery fortunate we avoided a tonking today.

barry,
SGS and some of the others need a reality check and put things into perspective.
Yes, we lost, the defending for the first goal needs looking at and we need to address our inability to take the opportunities that came our way and our defending as a whole needs some work.
However, the crucial word here is perspective.
I'm not burying my head in the sand - there were evidently faults in that performance hence we've lost 3-0. But, lets accounts for the fact the 3 goals scored were courtesy of a £30 million player.
The result isn't pleasing, but equally, it isn't the end of the world as portrayed by some.

They are VERY much the exception to the rule though. What would you be doing different? We HAVE to compare ourselves to sides like Man City - we are bloody playing them on the pitch! We are making basic, basic errors week in, week out - not closing the ball down, not retaining position ... all sides should be able to do the basics.
