I disagree RAF,
They have taken an hammering which I don't think we will!!
We have played 4 out of the top 6 teams and have done well against them! Although not got the points, we maybe deserved!
Our players are better than theirs!

Are they fuck!
Don't just throw your arms up and surrender if things don't always fall your way.
Disappointments come along for everyone. Winners put their heads down and keep going KNOWING things will get better. Losers give up and accept it.
Thank fook we don't appear too have many players with RAFs attitude

I dont think they are better but I think that they are showing that they can attack and score goals which appears to be our problem at the moment.
We have some good players though - Today we should have played Tonge and not Cresswell and Fuller from the start.
We will (I hope) learn and get better.

I just can't see the problem with Hull doing well, we just know now they're probably not going to be one of the three teams that have got to be weaker than us over 38 games. Fair play to them, they've made an unbelievable start and done it the Orange One's way. We're going ok too but doing it Tone's way, which has never been about setting the pond on fire. More than anything I'm encouraged by how Hull are doing, because if they can do it, so can we.

Hull I do not think have better players, but they are using a MIDFIELD

If you look into the facts you will find that score was a fluke which was caused by a set of circumstances that hopefully will not be repeated.

I think we should say fair play to them, but concentrate on ourselves. We've done incredibly well (without much luck) against 4 of last seasons top 6, and taken points off 2 of them. We got beat by a bad spell and bad defending, with arguably our weakest team against Bolton, and even then, we did well until that flukey goal went in. Similar against Boro, we did well until 1 mistake proved costly. Our luck will turn, results will come, I'm in no doubt. If we show the same level of consistency over the rest of the season, we will get results against the "weaker" teams. Come on, be positive.

I think the league table will vindicate my stance!

At the moment I would swap all our players for all of theirs,. Of course you could be a clueless **** and go for our lot just because they are STOKE . 6th or 18th? I know where I would rather be.

Granted an away win at the arse is good tho

So then RAF you can come to that assumption based on 6 league games can you ??? surely it makes sense to compare both sides at the end of the season, when the season has finished, or is your last word final?
Hull Fixtures so far:
Fulham (H) - fulham have the worst away record in the league by a country and if hull have any hope of staying up these games need to be victories.
Blackburn (A) - not a bad result to be fair, but blackburn had only just appointing Ince so you could argue the home side needed time to gel.
wigan (H) - well....again for me wigan at home has to be a game you take at least a point in, and the almighty hull got a severe reality check here.
Newcastle (A) - playing against a side in crisis, who i think we would beat at the moment.
Everton (H) - a draw was a reasonable result, but in fairness everton aren't playing well at the moment, and we were very hard done by when we played them.
Arsenal (A) - credit where it is due an impressive result.
But let's remember we have travelled to the reebok stadium and the riverside, two sides with good home form, a trip to anfield is a moutainous task for anyone. Villa at home was a magnficent result, everton was unfortunate, and sadly like most sides will find this season, chelsea are a cut above most teams.
But to be honest the league table does no justice, hull have beaten a side with embarassing away form, and a side in crisis, two formalitys for a side looking to stay up. And a good win against arsenal.
Compare that to us, we had an excellent victory against villa ( a potential top 5 team ) and a magnificent point at anfield, both sides have recorded excellent results, so lets judge stoke on the wigans, fulhams, hulls and west broms at home, and see then if we win our crucial games.
Comparing the two teams ( Stoke and Hull ) by no means would i say there side is anymore superior to ours.
Come to your assumptions when the season has finished, not after 6 games, of which they fixtures have been easier.
People just love to criticise don't they.

Hull are still in their honeymoon period and teams have been taking them to lightly, I think Arsenal expected to walk all over them today, we on the other hand have had a lot of press about how hard we are to beat and teams have been prepared for us, after the Arsenal result today, no team is going to take Hull lightly . Thats my attempt at trying to rationalize Hull's good start anyway

It depends if you think I am criticising Stoke. Which I am not. I'm pointing out that 6th is better than 18th. Dull are better than us at the moment like it or not, and so are Brazil as it goes.

Nothing is final so early doors, I just think it's time to get some perspective

my arguement is RAF is that you don't specify this at the start in the title of your thread: Your title reads: Hull are better than us ! Deal with it! and then on later posts you go on to say Hull are better than us....at the moment. Based on league form you may have an arguement, but as i said on my previous post, i fail to see the point in comparing teams after 6 league games. I'm not saying your criticising stoke, just being slightly presumptious after 6 games, long way to go yet, lots more twists and turns to happen as i'm sure you know. Positive Mental Attitude! Role on Pompey
