Forgot that Sam Vokes plays for Wycombe. GGOOAAARRNN SAM. One of the shitest players I’ve seen in a stoke shirt, and there’s been a few to choose from.

I don’t want Vale to lose really, they’re such a nice club with lovely fans and it would be a travesty if they were relegated for everyone🙁

Hope Vale stay up - good for the city. This always comes up yet nobody explains why. People were keen to make the arguement that Stoke's relegation from the Premier League was detrimental to the City (fewer high profile games, smaller crowds affecting match day businesses, less media coverage etc). If that is true then the converse should also be true - that the higher up the pyramid the TWO clubs are - the more beneficial for the City it is.

Hope Vale stay up - good for the city. This always comes up yet nobody explains why. The only reasoning I can think of is with relegation, comes redundancies for local people and a downturn in trade for match day suppliers, which is a shame for those affected. Happened when Stoke got relegated from the Prem.

If that is true then the converse should also be true - that the higher up the pyramid the TWO clubs are - the more beneficial for the City it is. being in the premier league and seeing crowds of 30000 regularly in the city would have an impact on the local economy and maybe investment in the area. Having a stadium somewhere like Hanley, with a bigger capacity and allowing for bigger followings from cities such as Manchester, Liverpool, that would help the economy of the city too. That's what should have happened when we built the stoke ground. But having 3000 weirdos in burslem going to a match makes no difference at all, they'll all go whatever division they're in
