What did that airborne banner say?
Was it "we stood there laughing"?
If these fuckers get relegated I'll be rolling around on the floor in hysterics.
Get down you useless fuckers and stay down.

Knives are out on OVF for Darren Moore, argument goes Vale have been in to free fall since he joined and when the dust settles he will have relegated two clubs in one season, being Huddersfield and Vale.

They aren’t surviving now are they? Cheltenham have an extra game too so if anyone is getting out of it, it’s them. Their games are horrible though. Lincoln at home - 7th and chasing the play offs Peterborough at home - 4th, got a game in hand and have a shot at 2nd Stevenage away - 9th - out of any race but still a good side away. They are but still.an extra game to get points and form doesn't seem to count at this stage.

He's been crap and I'm surprised he took the job given league two was a distinct possibility. He's managed some good clubs at a decent level..

I went Burton tonight and they were garbage, Cheltenham deserved the win no question. Burton have now lost their last eight home league games and only away form is keeping them in it. Pato’s kick and rush style is dragging them down as it’s simply not working. Direct football is fine but they need to play some football in the final third too. The Burton faithful have had enough of Pato already, maybe he’ll be let go in the summer whatever happens?

I'm currently down in Elstree, and one of the guys is a Cambridge fan, and he was saying earlier that he has to go to Port Vale soon and that the only thing he knew about it was that it's in Stoke and was asking if there's a town called Port Vale, he's now taking bars of soap and knows about his father's gun.

Hope Vale stay up - good for the city. [br It makes not one bit of difference for the city Its a fact that the higher the league you are the more away fans come and visit, and spend more in local pubs, shops hotels etc etc. And the likelihood is that if vale go down revenue drops and jobs will be axed, we employ far less as a club than we did when we were in the top flight. So yes, if you want local people to lose jobs, and local business to see a drop in revenue then yeah, fuck off Vale.

I can buy that the Prem to the Champ makes a difference given the global exposure and mega money the Prem attracts, but come on, the city’s second team bobbing between the third and fourth division, how much of a difference can we possibly be talking? A couple of hundred quid per home game overall, maybe, if that? I’m not sure the local businesses will be holding crisis talks just yet will they

Surely vale had the common sense to insert an option to cancel Moores contract if he failed to keep them up? Crazy decision to give a 5 year contract to a suspect manager.
Watched the game last night and the quality of that team is woeful. Relegation fully deserved. I don’t want to be watching division one next season if that’s the standard.

Why would anyone give Moore a 5 and a half year contract in the first place...she's worse than norman....stuck with him now not financially secure enough to sack him... would probably end them tbh

Obviously I don't want people to lose jobs but I definitely can't see there being an impact on the local economy from being relegated from league 1 to league 2. The followings they will get from crewe, Tranmere, Bradford, notts county and a few others will be better than what they get in league 1. There's very little difference between both leagues.

Less than 4 thousand Vale fans for a very important home match. Good for the city my arse. That’s quite unbelievable. A must win game so close to the end of the season and there are 4K fans. Ridiculous.

I said on another thread about them they went 21 games without a win and only picked up 2 draws in that run and were still in with a Chance of survival (still are) they have had all the results luck we have had none, shows the quality of the championship is much better..

Bolton blew their automatic promotion bid last night, Derby were favourites anyway but they need Derby to slip up and lose a game now rather than draw.
I wouldn’t completely rule out Vale going there and sneaking a 1-0 win…..

So basically Burton has not got to pick up any more points and Vale to get a win and a draw. If Burton gets a draw it will need to be two wins for the Vale due to goal difference. I think we can safely say they will be relegated.
